Hi everyone, I'm Adegoke Odunayo Subaru by name, but my friends do call me Adegold. I was born into the family of Mr. and Mrs. Rabiu Subaru and Abigail Rabiu.
I came from Ondo State, Akoko North West, Nigeria. Though I'm a Christian, however, born into a Muslim family, through the grace of God my birth brought light into my family, and my parents gave their lives to Christ, knowing fully that I was born on a mountain during Easter season.
The reason for this was as a result of the trouble my mom faced during my conception, which led to going to find ease, and she followed one friend to a mountain where God granted her peace and joy, and she gave me a special name, OLUWASEGUN, which means the Lord has given me a victor.
We are six in my family, of which I happen to be the lastborn of the house, though I lost my dad when I was very young, but all thanks to my mom, whom God has given the grace to train me and my elderly ones.
Hmmm, while growing up, I stayed with my uncle at Ajaokuta, Kogi State, Nigeria. I had no opportunity to attend a school while staying with him, so I was only there for domestic work, but once upon a time, I was held down by a sickness, and they did their best so that I would be fine, but all their effort was aborted due to the fact that they could not say specifically the type of sickness I was battling with, so they had no other option than to call on my mom to come and pick me up.
My mom, after hearing that I was very sick, called on my elder sister, whose name is Amina. Getting to my mum's place, I became strong by the grace of God. I started school within a short period of time, where I attended Saints James Primary School. In Imo Arigidi Akoko, by the grace of God, I was privileged to be their head boy during my sixth year in the school, and this gave me a ground to forge ahead to a secondary school named Akoko Anglican Grammar School Agbaluku Arigidi Akoko, Ondo State, Nigeria.
I was also graced after staying for some years at home after my secondary education. I was given admission into a higher institution named Federal Polytechnic Kaduna (kadpoly), where I studied physics with electronics. Thank God I'm one of the corps members presently serving in Enugu State, Nigeria. All thanks to all my family and friends for this great achievement. I wouldn't have obtained this height if not for their support, knowing fully now that I'm the only graduate in my family. To God be the glory.
