There’s one memory from my university days that I carry everywhere. During my final year, I failed a major course and almost lost my chance to graduate with my classmates. I remember the crushing disappointment—I avoided friends, couldn’t sleep, and doubted myself more than ever before.
But something changed when my roommate found me sulking and refused to let me give up. She insisted I talk to my lecturer and helped me craft an honest letter. The lecturer eventually gave me a second chance: an extra assignment that pushed me harder than anything before, but I passed! Graduation day felt sweeter than I’d imagined, not because of the gown or photos, but because I’d survived my lowest moment and learned the real value of persistence, friendship, and honesty.
Have you ever had a setback that turned out to be a blessing in disguise?
