April fool: fun but not supported
So it happened many years ago, back in Doma local government area of Nasarawa State, in St. John Bosco secondary school. That was where I had my secondary school education. Our amiable admin @ovey10 joined us then but he ran away after I think 2 or 3 terms😂
School batch
It was a normal morning, very early hours of the of the day at about 4pm. So usually, as junior students, we usually wake up to take our bath earlier before the morning mass(devotion) because the senior students will be taking their bath afterwards and you will only get a bucket of water if you have connections- naija😂.
So.we woke up as usual and went about our normal bath routines. First things first, there have been rumors about ghost babies walking around the school premises at night especially during cold mornings and so we were adviced and warned never to walk without a torch light, it is believed that they are scared of light.
So on this particular day, we went as usual, fetched water and headed for the bathroom. Most people had pulled their clothes and already had foams over their faces.
Suddenly, a black looking short person entered into the bathroom with a long cane on his right hand. He had a red cloth tied on his head and on his left hand he held a broom, he wore a long white skirt that covered his entire legs. "Whoooosh whoooosh whooosh" were the sounds he was making, it was so scary. I think you guessed right. The whole bathroom was encapsulated with confusion and commotion the moment the first person who saw him raised an alarm..."Bush baby ohhhh, bush baby!!!".
Awesome classmates that year🤝🤝
That was it!!! Given that he was standing at the entrance way, everyone had to find an alternative route of escape. Because the bathroom was a wide and open place just carved with roofing sheets round to enable a place of privacy atleast. Those in the rural areas will have a picture of what am saying.
This was actually an April fool prank pulled and organized by the social perfect then. It was not funny because of the effects that came with this. Many students were injured that day, some sustained injuries as they tried to jump over the roofing sheets, some successfully crossed but landed on stones and injured, a guy even fainted out of fear and anxiety.
The school authority frowned at this because they had to foot the bills of treating the injured students. Of course the social perfect and the "short bush baby" had to tender a public apology to the entire school for pulling such a stunt.
It was funny as many laughed, I laughed too, but it came with it's own consequences. Very expensive consequences.
So my own take is, doing an April fool prank, you should know the kind of prank you pull up if not, forget about pranking.
Thank you for reading and hope you will be careful in doing April fool prank.
Peace out ✌️ 🫴
