Our beloved daughter Bless Dumalag @blessie31 was diagnosed last June 2025 of aplastic anemia, a blood disorder in which the bone marrow cannot produce enough platelets to stop bleeding by forming blood clots. Due to this condition she is susceptible to bleeding and easy bruising.
It started when her skin had bruises particularly legs and arms. It alarmed me and showed up right away in the nearest hospital to have her checked. The CBC result was frightening. At first she had 16 platelet counts. It went 7, 4, 9 ,13,11 and 5. Platelet counts dropped within these ranges drastically. Red blood cells decreased too putting her to fatigue and weakening of the body. It was an ordeal; no witness couldn't feel the impact.
That's when we realized to have her undergo further testing at Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center. From there the hospital has appropriately addressed the needs of my daughter by which the latter I am so thankful to the Lord.
Hence, frequent blood transfusions were the immediate remedy for this health condition. Since May up until now she has bravely gone through this. However, blood transfusion is just a temporary solution. A life-saving-bone marrow- transplant is what she needed to cure this disease. Here, the transplanted bone marrow replaces unhealthy blood cells with healthy ones. Nevertheless the cost is so hefty for the family which is from 2-6 million pesos here in the Philippines.
Thus, we are knocking at your kind heart to help us bring our daughter closer to a healthy future. I understand that finances nowadays are tough but any amount at your heart's content is of great avail to our family. Sooner, the Lord will repay your generosity a thousandfold as he promise. God bless your heart everyone.🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
