“One thing you learned from Hive.” So the prompt read. And I was kind of thinking, why not “things you learned from Hive.” Because certainly, I believe there's a lot learnt and still to be learnt on and through this platform. But I guess the management was right to put it as just a thing one has learnt. Putting all in one post could seem an enormous task and a bulky reading altogether.

Hive has been a great platform. One of the best I've ever been on. Either as a platform, blockchain, or Web 3 space, it still holds that place as one of the best; if not already, perhaps. The idea of joining this blockchain had been a long time coming.
I had been invited and encouraged by my good friends @ovey10 @oluthomas @emreal, which for some reason didn't seem to work out then. But hey, today I'm glad I did and I'm grateful to them. I find it encouraging and confident enough to invite and encourage others as well to join in. That should point to the fact that there's something gainful, something beneficial, something remarkable about being here that extending the invite to others seemed a necessary gesture.
Certainly, there are benefits to being here in this space. From financial to expressive privilege, connections and other reasons, there's a lot that anyone who's been here for a while, or a little while would agree. It goes beyond one thing or reason, but encapsulates a lot that could make one seem to find this space a place to be already, and even as time goes by.
Maybe I could write a lot concerning the things I've learnt since choosing to become a part of this wonderful blockchain. However, in honour of the prompt directives, and not to overwhelm us with a great number of things to read, I'll be sharing one thing that I have learned from or through being in this space.
There have been several gains, and several lessons as well. One that seems to find it more to be shared is that which I consider as growth. Yes, that. And this I mean in diverse ways, in diverse measures. Hive made me understand and realise the way up is to walk yourself up the ladder. You don't skip the process of growth here.
When I joined the platform compared to now, there's been a growth level in my writing, interactions, connections, and knowledge. With a platform of diverse personalities like Hive, one can be sure to earn a lot and grow in knowledge from reading and engaging with other authors/creators, and their content. You could say that through Hive I've been able to travel to different places and learn different things, and that would be right.
There was a post I came across yesterday. The author explained how she looked back at how she started on Hive; the contents and all, and how today she's grown. It was kind of hilarious for her, seeing how her content looked then, now that she's grown and gotten better. It's the beauty of growth. And I learnt that as well.
Hive is a beautiful place to be. Beyond all the benefits one could get, there's always something to learn. Whether it's getting better at a skill, gaining new knowledge, learning something new, or developing confidence and consistency, this space offers a lot, and more.
