Of recent I have been reflecting on something that is bothering my mind and it gets clearer to me relationship has always been the heartbeat of every business that has become successful.
Whether you're running something, a freelance or climbing the career ladder, the connection you make with people. So I have always kept things moving forward, I have learned how to set new goals for myself and try to be more intentional about and networking.
I'm so excited to share what really works for me and why this has been a game changer for me and why you might also jump over to. I can remember in the past I was feeling so guiltybtrying to stay in on my own little bubble thinking I can do it alone. I believed that I can make if I work harder myself. I kept waiting for the perfect moment to reach out to someone to assist me.
Maybe you have also been in a situation thinking just need the right time or the perfect style to always do things correctly or to connect with people, but that is a lie. I have learned something, when you wait for the perfect time to get something started it will get you nowhere, you just keep wasting time.
Opportunity don't just fall into your lap, you have to create them by trying to show up every day, try to start that conversation build a relationship and taking one step at a time. I'm now making it part of my mission to make networking my priority, that means I have to reach out to as much people I can, those people I love and admire.
Sometimes you just have to slide into Dm of your friends and say "hey I love what you're doing, can we partner, can you give me some ideas. This is not about being too fake or trying to give fake compliments, it's about being really acknowledging the importance of others also around you and your environment.
Even here on Hive and opening to learn from others also and what they did that helped them. I will start small, maybe like I join a small organization or small meeting, Maybe offline or online communication with people like me, every chance, every shared story, we are planting a seed and laying a foundation for a bigger thing.
What has inspired me most is seeing how we make this connection and how it works like a ripple. There is one conversation that led me to a mentor who have helped me with the right idea and approach to my business in a more profitable and professional way.
Another one is to collaborate with those who have the same purpose or share the same vision with me so that we can come together and make things easier and just get in contact. These are people who just inspire me to grow, you think big and we keep moving.
Networking isn't about collecting business cards, it's about trying to build that idea support and create opportunity. Here is the challenge right now to all Hive friends, you have to step up, connect more send that message now. If you see anyone, you love their content reach out to the person and tell the person to guide you. Just say hi to someone.
When it comes to relationship be intentional. Relationship can take you very far, connection can light up your path.
