My introductory Post
Design by me
Hello everyone! My name is Joshua John, and I was born in Yanyan, Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC), in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja, Nigeria. I'm Bassa by tribe, an ethnic group predominantly found in the North-Central region of Nigeria, specifically in Niger, Nasarawa, Kogi, and FCT Abuja states. My birthday is April 23rd.
I'm a National Diploma (ND) graduate in Computer Science from Federal Polytechnic Nasarawa, Nasarawa State, where I studied for two years. I plan to further my studies and pursue my Higher National Diploma (HND) in Software Development at the same institution. This will equip me with programming knowledge to build software applications, games, and artificial intelligence.
During my high school days at Federal Science College Sokoto, Sokoto State, I aspired to become an Automobile Engineer and design my own cars. However, I discovered my love for music at a young age and vowed to incorporate it into my life regardless of my profession. I've had the passion and love for learning and playing the acoustic guitar since I was young.
I've held positions such as Choir Master in my high school days, in the Fellowship of Christian Students (FCS), and in musical bands at local churches where my Dad, a Pastor, has been transferred to in ECWA. Due to my Dad's work and school, I've moved around a lot, meeting people from diverse backgrounds, tribes, and religions.
I began learning acoustic guitar in Sokoto State, where one of my closest friends taught me the basics. I later continued learning on my own in Abuja. Additionally, I'm skilled in Graphic Design, Graphic Animation, and Photo Editing.
Below are some of my designs
In my free time, I enjoy listening to music, watching science fiction movies to learn about science, and playing video games. I've learned a great deal from movies, and I'm grateful for the opportunity to explore my interests.
I learned about the HIVE blockchain opportunity from @oluthomas and a friend, @shemjosh, who encouraged me to register and utilize my music skills to participate, and @ovey10 registered me. I'm excited to be a part of this community, and I'll strive to stay consistent while continuously learning and improving. Thank you!
