Hello! Happy first Monday of August to you all.
Life is such a beautiful gift from God, and it offers so many things to mankind. It could either be something positive, or negative.
Experience indeed leads to learning. Once an experience that wasn't meant to occur takes place, there must surely be a lesson learnt.
I will be sharing my childhood experience with everyone, and the lesson I learnt. I encourage everyone who has been going through my post to do so.
It was on a fateful Monday morning, my mother asked my siblings and me to go to one of the biggest streams in my village to fetch water as usual, before leaving for school.
It was our normal routine, so we had to obey. We all fetch water thrice before leaving for school. So on our way to school, we met our mom, and she was returning from the market. She told us not to follow any of our friends to the stream while classes were ongoing, and we accepted.
So, when we reached the school premises, it was time for devotion, and I was asked by my class teacher, to lead.
A few minutes later, we returned to our various classes, and teaching began immediately. I enjoyed the teaching because it was my favorite subject.
So after the teaching, my friend asked me to escort her to the urinary, and I followed her. So immediately she arrived at the urinary, she told me she didn't want to urinate, rather she wanted to go to the stream.
At first, I said no because I recalled what my mother told me. But she insisted I should follow her. So I followed her down there. It wasn't the same stream I went to in the morning.
In the stream there were stairs. According to her, they put it in case someone falls. So I accompanied her into the stream, and she fetched the water.
So on our way back, she climbed the stairs as if there was nothing there. I was surprised because I was finding it difficult to climb.
While I was still trying to climb, I missed a step, and the next thing I noticed was that I was rolling down the stairs. I shouted and cried uncontrollably for someone to help me, but it was unfortunately, no one was there.
I rolled till I landed in men stream. I had bruises all over my body and it hurt badly. So while I was still lying down there, a guy came to fetch water. He saw me, and he quickly rushed to pick me up.
He carried me up and took me to school. I couldn't stay in school, so my teacher asked him to take me back home as commanded.
I learnt my lesson that day as a child that I was. I learnt that disobedience could easily lead to untimely death.
Thank you, everyone, thank you to my voters, thank you to my promoters.
