Hello, beautiful people. You're all welcome to my blog.
I'm so excited about the topic chosen for this week's prompt.
We're asked to write on Knowledge and Experience. These two words are closely related to each other.
**WHAT IS KNOWLEDGE **?
Knowledge is the ability to learn, unlearn, and relearn skills from people who are more advanced in Education and another field of study.
A man who seems to be inexperienced and backward in everything is always said to be dull. People see him or her as someone who has nothing to offer to the people, and as such, no one would love to look up to him or her for anything because he or she is blank.
When I was a little girl, my dad used to tell me that I was not knowledgeable. Even when I entered secondary school, I was still behaving strangely.
What made him say that was that each time he asked me to wash plates, I would wash them very well. But, what I was ignorant about, was that, I didn't know, I was supposed to remove the clean plates that were already in the basket and wash them alongside the basket.
Immediately after that, I will turn the basket upside down so that the water can drain out. Then, when the basket is dry, I can put back those plates.
I didn't know all those things. The only thing I knew was that, after washing plates, I was to put them in that basket. I was such a not-girl.
That happened because I wasn't knowledgeable and experienced at the same time.
**WHAT IS EXPERIENCE **?
Experience, on the other hand, refers to the wisdom one gains in his or her daily quest for knowledge.
Note, experience, is what gives birth to knowledge. Someone whose experience is someone who has gone the extra mile in search of knowledge, information, and skills.
He or she would always want to be involved in every activity that is been carried out. The reason is because he or she wants to see the outcomes of it.
I want to complete my piece by sharing my experience as a student. When I got admitted newly, I didn't know what to do.
Each time I was asked to come to school and process some things and also get to know more about the school system, I refused to.
What I did, was that I always asked my dad to accompany me to school, and he said I should go alone. I tried that by myself. Before one month, I was able to get adapted to the school system. As it stands now, the newly admitted students in my department always come to me to get some advice that would help them perform excellently.
Overall, Knowledge and Experience are the best tools for acquiring true success.
This post is in response to the #Hive _Reachout initiative on the topic:knowledge and Experience.
