Hello, Hive Reachout community members…It's been a few weeks of being away from this platform.
I opened my app to find some inspiration on what to write and the first thing I stumbled on was Hive Reachout Prompt. Immediately, I read the topic, I gave myself a smile. Do you know why? Because I can completely relate to the topic, so tighten your seat belt as I'm about to give you first-hand information on how I was pranked on April 1 a few years ago, including the one that took place two days ago. I couldn't believe I could fall for these things but I fell anywhere. Are you ready because I'm about to expose myself here( hehehehe)
About 4 years ago, I traveled to stay with my big cousin, and I ended up managing her boutique business at that time. I got to know a lot of people from my environment, and I made new friends, one of which was our neighbor who had a supermarket next to our shop. It happened that they(The man and his brother) were living in the backyard of the shop and so their house was very close as well.
On April 1st, Chidi(name of my neighbour's brother) called me at 6am in the morning and shouted “Indiana, come to the shop oo; your Aunt's shop has been robbed; the door is open.”
Chai! You need to see the way my heart raced, like I almost passed out, a lot of things were going through my mind, things like “You forgot to lock the door” and “Did you even lock the padlock well?” I honestly didn't know what to think at the moment.
My facial expression gave me away to my aunty because I was shaking. She asked me who it was that was calling very early in the morning (In her mind, she was like, you now have a boyfriend that calls you very early in the morning, I have caught you today.😂) I quickly told her the whole stuff and she shook off from the bed and shouted at me to hurry to the shop. Chai! I picked a race that day eh, normally I trek to the shop but that day, I boarded a motorcycle and arrived at my Aunt's shop immediately.
I jumped out of the bike without paying the bike man and went straight to the shop. That was when I heard “APRIL FOOLL.” From Chidi. Yes, the young man caught me. I didn't know how to react, should I just shout at him or join the fellow neighbors that came out and laugh.😂😂 I opened the shop and everything was intact but then, I can't forget that day because I slept in the house at 6:30am without having my bath just to go and be fooled.
This happened two days ago when a friend sent this to me as a message. I thought it was a credit alert and I just went immediately to open the receipt and it showed “APRIL FOOLL" I fell for it again! Chai!😂
In as much as I don't really take April Fool as anything and I just treat it as a normal day, I think it quite fun to be pranked and to prank someone.
This is my story, family and this is where I draw the curtain for today.
Thank you for reading and engaging.🙌💖
