Hi, welcome to a new week in a new month! I'm back again after a little break, because of training, programs and other issues of life!
I say bravo to my boss @ovey10 for consistently, tirelessly and patiently coaching, guiding, instructing us(the New bies) on how we can successfully engage Hive Blockchain. I cannot forget to thank Hivereachout Community for the weekly prompt. I also thank as many who vote, comment and post consistently.
I'm happy that I'm going to share what I think about this Popular Statement, "We Are Imperfect People", which seems to be generally acceptable by many, but harbouring a very poisonous venom within that crushes tenderly virtues, negating God's remedial provision for our completeness.
Meaning Of The Popular Statement:
"We Are Imperfect People"
Whenever this statement is quoted, it implies that we are not perfect people. The reason I strongly disagree with this statement is because, it only reminds us of our shortcomings, flaws, weaknesses, failures without the hope of being changed or getting improved.
This statement is like giving someone a loaf of half-baked bread to eat! Just imagine the effect this would have on the body system! Similarly, this Popular Statement has a way of suppressing the spirit of morality. I wouldn't have had any conflicting view if the popular statement reads as:
"We Are Imperfect People, But We Strive Towards Perfection".
I know I have my shortcomings. But of what advantage is it trying to remind me of them without the hope of being changed or getting improved? That's the point I'm aiming at.
This statement makes people more worse than ever. Supposing they are drunkards, adulterers/adultresses, fornicators, liars, idolaters, etc, they become more worse in their deliberate shortcomings, never hoping to embrace positive change. When you point them to their flaws, they'll feel like you are trying to judge them. "Everybody is doing it", they will say. Worst still, they will quote this Popular Saying as their national anthem, in order to retain their adamic status!
Our Originality
Our original source is God. We're made of God. The Holy Bible has it that,
"So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them"(Gen. 1:27).

That suggests that we're originally perfect people created in God.
The Fall
I understand that this proverb has its root on the fall of the first people God ever created(Adam & Eve). This is recorded in Genesis 3:1–10.
It is written: "For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners..."

The Remedy
The fall of man in the Garden of Eden has brought the entire human race to an imperfect lifestyle.
After the fall of man, God began a remedial move to restore man back to his original source. Hence, Jesus came as a sacrificial Lamb that takes away the tendency of imperfections, through the death of the Cross.

And whoever believes and accepts the Lord Jesus will definitely receive a new life of perfection.
I'm born again by the grace of God. So Christ in me the hope of perfection and completeness!
It is written: "...so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous".
Therefore, the above proverb is only relevant to unbelievers(those who have not believed and accepted Jesus Christ as their Saviour & Lord).
