Good day everyone,
My name is Joshua Omale, a native of Ohimini local government area of Benue state, Idoma by tribe.
I am currently a 400 level (final year) student studying Microbiology in the faculty of science in the Federal University of Lafia.
I was born and brought up in Kaduna state Nigeria, in a family of six children, of which I am the third born child and first born son.
Growing up in Kaduna state I was exposed to various lifestyles of the street but God still kept me close (I felt special saying that) and didn't let me wander far from Him, life on the street was something else (very long story) but not to bore you with a very long story, I would say God's Hand was upon me... I was in the street but the life of the street wasn't in me, I had friends... I was friends with the good, the bad and the ugly because I was a sports person... I was good in Football, Table tennis, and volley ball but God made me a very hard person to influence (especially negatively).
so with that nature I was able to maintain a healthy and balanced relationship on the street that didn't affect my relationship with God.
And need I mention that my parents were disciplinarians (story for another time I guess) so messing up was not an option.
Growing up, I had so many questions that I had to find the answers for myself, thereby making me grow up (mentally) before I actually grew up (physically). In all these I thank God.
My story can not be without me putting God at the center because I know I would have been lost, but He said I am His own.
Fast forward to my university life thus far, God has been faithful. Immediately I got here, I searched for the Christian community which is the JCCF and attached myself to the choir unit (DYNAMIC VOICE OF PRAISE). I also joined the ERCC Church Mararaba Akunza as the JCCF and staff combined service under the umbrella of the Chapel of Light service was towards the evening of Sundays so i had my morning services at Ercc in which I also joined the band (Salvation Band). God used these bodies to prune and groom me in different ways.
Fast forward to my 300 level, I became the Music Director in ERCC, and the Assistant Music Director in JCCF/CHAPEL OF LIGHT.
These leadership positions opened me up to a whole new lever of service to God. At the end of my 300 level proceeding to my final year, I became the Music Director in JCCF/CHAPEL OF LIGHT and still the Music Director in ERCC. And I am grateful to God for His help thus far.
Growing up I had a knack for music even though at the time I didn't really know what it was all about... I just loved how it made me feel and how well I connect with words brought to life through rhythms. That love drove me to learn more about music, learn some instruments like drum, keyboard, acoustic guitar, a little of the bass guitar, and also push harder into my singing career.
In simple terms, who am I?
I am a project in the Hand of God. Not a small one but that which nations will come to God through, and marvel at the wonders of God through.
The journey thus far hasn't been an easy one, but one thing I'm sure of is that all the experiences, pains, hurts, down moments and all I've gone and will go through will definitely be worth it in the end.
I was exposed to the Hive world by a friend here in school after he became unusually active on social media, posting contents daily and I was prompted to ask him as it caught my interest. He then told me a little about Hive.
After that he introduced me to a friend in the person of @Ovey10 who took me through a rigorous class about the HIVE world, explaining the differences between the Web 2, and Web 3, Centralised and Decentralised, how Hive focuses on the originality that a person can bring out, and then what Hive frowns at... most especially plagiarism.
I would say it is a pleasure as much as it is a privilege for me to be part of the Hive family.
Many thanks.
