The building itself is a Masonic Temple. To which the facade has recently been beautifully painted on the occasion of the 116th anniversary of the Constitution of this brotherhood in the Municipality.

Actually the exterior of the temple reaches right up to the sidewalk, at the same level of the street. That precedes the wide avenue that runs through the village from end to end. In a sort of pediment on the portal, the name of the lodge and the symbol of Freemasonry can be read in box letters and in relief. To the right of the building there is a small courtyard with a marble book open on a rectangular mural.
I have always seen this place as something distant and mystical. Especially because of the little information that still exists about Freemasonry in Cuba. And because of the hermeticism they have always displayed.
I thought that access to the interior would be difficult or denied. But I was attended by the Grand Venerable, the highest authority and pardoner of the highest degree in the congregation. He took the role of guide and after passing through the reception hall, he introduced me to the meeting room, which is also the ceremonial room.
An exceptional place. I felt the energies of the initiatory mysteries surrounded by allegories and mythological atmosphere. The temple was almost in darkness, because there was no electric Guido and that reinforced the mystical atmosphere of the place, Three thrones and each one guarded by a mythological image.

La edificación en sí, es un exteriormente bien conversado Templo Masónico. Al cual recientemente le ha pintado bonito la fachada con motivo del 116 aniversario de la Constitución de esa hermandad en el Municipio.

Realmente el exterior del templo llega justo hasta la acera, en el mismo nivel de la calle. Que antecede a la amplia avenida que recorre el poblado de extremo a extremo. En una especie de frontón en el portal se puede leer en letras de cajón y al relieve el nombre de la logia y el símbolo de la Masonería. A la derecha de la edificación un pequeño patio con un libro de mármol abierto sobre un murito rectangular.
Siempre he visto este lugar como algo distante y místico. Sobre todo por la poca información que aún existe sobre la masonería en Cuba. Y por el hermetismo del que siempre han hecho gala.
Pensé que el acceso al interior me sería difícil o denegado. Pero fui atendido por el gran venerable, la más alta autoridad y perdona de mayor grado en la congregación. Tomó el papel guía y después de atravesar la salía de recepción me introdujo en la sala de reuniones que a la vez es de ceremonias.
Un lugar excepcional. Sentí las energías de los misterios iniciáticos rodeados de alegorías y ambiente mitológico. El templo estaba casi en penumbras, pues no había Guido eléctrico y eso reforzaba el ambiente místico del lugar, Tres tronos y cada uno custodiado por una imagen mitológica.
El del Venerable maestro por una mediana escultura de Minerva, diosa de la sabiduría. Venus totalmente desnuda como símbolo de eterna belleza en el del. Primer vigilante y Hércules, alegoría al poder y la fuerza en el de segundo vigilante. Salí de esta pequeña edificación imantada de todo aquel ambiente misterio, iniciación y compromiso.
Pero también salí contento porque nunca imaginé que aquí en mi barrio, tan cerca y cotidiana, tenía una joya de arquitectura y la Masonería que también le puedo mostrar al mundo.
