Hello Everyone?
How was your day?
I hope everyone has a gread day!
Previously, I had shown several works of art around my workplace, namely Gandaria city. And today I will show you some other works of art that are no less beautiful than before.
JU MING
Taichi Series
1994
"Taichi Series" is true revelation of the Artist concern for and attention towards the spiritual aspects of modern society. Ju Ming's works have their roots in Chinese traditions. Taichi is a reflection emphasizing focus on harmony between motion and mindset as well as a respect for nature to create a harmony between the force of humankind and the power of nature.
I didn't include some words in my writing because they contained elements of plagiarism.
This artwork is located on the 2nd floor, more precisely in front of celebrity fitness.
KIM SEOK
Horse Riding Tae Kwon V
2009
As a child of toyshop owner, Kim enjoyed his plactic robot design. Years later, as an artist, the intimacy between Kim and wood was created by using 'the robot' as the main reference for his creations. Those robots are positioned as an extension of human contem-plation about one's own existence.
He presents his robots to express themes inside the human body that can be obtained as functional device, wich can absorb and emit energy, process signals and signs,, and communicate.
This artwork is placed on the 2nd floor, not far from the Taichi Series Statue is located.
FERNANDO BOTERO
Woman On Horse
2002
At a glance, Fernando Botero's works presents imagery about obesity. Behind that, he might be creating a statement about reed and modern consumerism. First and foremost, He tends to play with the concept of Volume. This statue is telling a story of Joan of Arc, a brave woman who went to war on horse-back. She was totally fat.
I didn't include some words in my writing and also change the actual words of the article because they contained elements of plagiarism.
This Statue placed on the ground floor, near the main atrium.
YAYOI KUSAMA
Great Gigantic Pumpkin
2013
Pumpkin is one of the important patterns in Yayoi Kusama's works, because it issues from her personal reflection on her past during world war II, where her hometown matsumoto, was relatively untouched by conflict, family's store was always full of pumpkins. Seen from it's size and shape, Kusama consistently preswnts the pumpkin as a representation of tension and peculiarity in the relationship between modern technology and nature. It's gigantic size expresses a boon of nature capable of feeding all humanity. However, on the other hand , it's size and that surface covered with bright yellow collor, full of large and small black dots, causes the pumpkin to look magical, as if it comes from some whimsical wonderland.
I didn't include some words in my writing because they contained elements of plagiarism.
This Giant Gigantic Pumpkin located is in the East lobby.
Of these four statues, which one do you like the most? I really like Horse Riding Tae Kwon V by Kim Seok. I like it because this work is inspired by the plastic robot toys from his childhood. This is great, because it's not easy for someone to keep on remembering their childhood toys, even I can't even remember my favorite toy from childhood, Lol.
If you are curious to see directly the shape of the statues above, you can visit Gandaria City Mall. Later I will put the maps in this post. Thank you for reading this post! I hope you like it. ❤
All the pictures were taken with Samsung A11
