Hello Architecture+Design community members!
A few months ago I went to the city of Bandung. Not a private event, but a gathering event from the company. This is the first gathering after the pandemic. Before the pandemic, this was a once a year routine agenda from the company. Because this is the first time after the pandemic, I and other employees are very enthusiastic.
There are two options for the event this time, namely going offroad around the lembang forest or playing paintball. I personally chose to take part in off-road activities, because it was more challenging and I had never tried it before. Actually I've never played paintball either, but I'm more interested in off-road.
For lodging, we stayed at the Lembang Asri resort. This resort is very spacious and is located in the Lembang area, a favorite area of the city of Bandung. And this time I will discuss about the buildings at Lembang Asri Resort.
First entering the resort area, what you see is the convention hall. Because the building is above and rather uphill, so to get to this hall you have to climb the stairs. This convention hall is very unique. Why is that? Because the front is used as a hall, but behind the hall there are about ten rooms including mine. Yeah, I got a cramped room in this hall building. But even though it's cramped, my room is a superior room.
Then the main building of the resort is located on the left side. The building is rather long and consists of 3 or 4 floors. I don't know how many rooms it consists of, but it seems quite a lot.
On the left there are several villa buildings as well. The villa complex is shaped like a housing complex. There are also small alleys like housing.
One villa is filled with ten to fifteen employees of our company. I'm grateful for getting a room that's just the two of us even though the room is cramped. So, I don't have to share the bathroom with many people.
Then at the back there is also a rather large building but looks a bit old. Several employees, mostly men, occupy the building.Even though the building looks old, but it seems the room is wider than mine.
In the middle between one building and another, there is a garden. In this garden there are tables and chairs to sit under the trees. There are also children's toys such as swings and others. This place is very cool because there are lots of trees. I took the time to sit in this place in the morning while breathing the fresh morning air.
The last one is the place to eat. Their dining area is unique in that it is located in an open area. The building is made like a tent. Not just one, but several places because one place can only accommodate about fifty to seventy people.
They also have a special building for those who are Muslim to worship. But unfortunately the photo of the place of worship was deleted by me.
That's all I can explain about this Lembang Asri Resort. Because it's a company event and my time is very limited, so I can't explain much. But even though it was short, I really enjoyed my time in this place.
Thank you for reading my story and please look forward to my next post!
