Greetings to all colleagues! I hope you are doing well. I want to share with you a visit I made to an important building in the city of Buenos Aires, I should mention that I was unaware of the existence of this place and walking nearby I came across the building, it caught my attention and I decided to enter. I only had 20 minutes to visit all the rooms since it was about to close.
It is the museum of architecture and design, the only one in Argentina and the first. Located in the retiro neighborhood and inaugurated at the end of the year 2000, it is a place dedicated to the architecture of the country where they exhibit plans and details of the most emblematic buildings of the city and on the other hand it is dedicated to design. It is distributed in three floors where there are three halls and the first floor. The building itself was built in 1915 and at that time had another use or utility.

Quiero compartir con ustedes una visita que realicé a un importante edificio en la ciudad de Buenos Aires, debo mencionar que desconocía la existencia de este lugar y caminando por las cercanías me topé con el edificio, me llamo mucho la atención y decidí entrar. Solo tenía 20 minutos para recorrer todas las salas ya que estaba apunto del cierre.
Se trata del museo de arquitectura y diseño, siendo el único en Argentina y el primero. Ubicado en el barrio de retiro e inaugurado a finales del año 2000 es un lugar dedicado a la arquitectura del país donde exponen planos y detalles de los edificios más emblemáticos de la ciudad y por otra parte está dedicado al diseño. Está distribuido en tres pisos dónde se encuentran tres salas y la planta baja. El edificio en sí fue construido en 1915 y para esa época tenía otro uso o utilidad.
It is a very attractive building that at first sight invites you to enter and right next to it there is another building under construction that will be dedicated to the exhibition of the most important architectural works of the city or the country. It is quite curious that this museum has other points to deal with and it is not only about architecture, I noticed that at the entrance in the courtyard there were two seats with writings referring to equality, I thought... "There is something else here". "There is something else here".
Certainly there are rooms dedicated to the feminist movement, a very broad theme and adopted by the country that addresses it in a complete way in different ways and activities. But moving on to one of the architecture exhibition rooms, there is a lot of information about the pantheons of different cemeteries, architecture of emblematic buildings such as the national library, the building of the faculty of engineering with its details and plans.
Es un edificio bastante atractivo que a la vista te invita a entrar y justo al lado de éste se encuentra en construcción otra sede que se dedicará a la exposición de obras arquitectónicas más importantes de la ciudad o el país. Es bastante curioso que este museo tiene otros puntos a tratar y no solamente se trata de arquitectura, me di cuenta que en la entrada en el patio habían dos asientos con escritos haciendo referencia con igualdad, pensé... "Hay otra cosa acá".
Ciertamente hay salas dedicadas al movimiento feminista, tema muy amplio y adoptado por el país que lo aborda de forma completa en diferentes sentidos y actividades. Pero pasando a una de las salas de exposiciones de arquitectura, dedican mucha información referente a los panteones de diferentes cementerios, arquitectura de edificios emblemáticos como la biblioteca nacional, el edificio de la facultad de ingeniería con sus detalles y planos.
My expectations were fixed in finding much more about architecture but the reality was different, there were many exhibitions dedicated more to design, in fact in different rooms there were more design works and one especially to another type of art related to "artistic" nudes not so artistic, if you know what I mean.
The theme of architecture is given more in this space in relation to events where they perform acts and activities, conferences to expose architectural works which I would very much like to attend and learn a little more about the history and details of the impressive buildings that have been in the country for so many years and aspects of its construction. Mis expectativas estaban fijas en encontrar mucho más sobre arquitectura pero la realidad fue diferente, había muchísimas exposiciones dedicadas más al diseño, de hecho en distintas salas se encontraban más trabajos de diseño y una en especial a otro tipo de arte relacionado con desnudos "artísticos" no tan artísticos, si sabes a lo que me refiero.
El tema de la arquitectura se da más en este espacio en relación a eventos en dónde realizan actos y actividades, conferencias para exponer obras arquitectónicas a las cuales me gustaría muchísimo asistir y poder aprender un poco más sobre la historia y detalles de las impresionantes edificaciones que han estado en el país por tantos años y los aspectos de su construcción. And here I also leave you some of the design works distributed in different exhibition halls that represented 75% of what houses the museum to put a percentage, quite interesting by the way and worth a look. Y por acá les dejo también algunas de las obras de diseño distribuidas en diferentes salas de exposición que representaba un 75% de lo que alberga el museo por poner un porcentaje, bastante interesantes por cierto y dignas de echar un vistazo.
