Hello guys, greetings to all, at what time to share a new adventure and a great experience to a heritage place in the country. Make a new trip to a tourist and cultural destination here in Colombia, call the salt cathedral, which is a cathedral with different chapels below ground level located in a salt mine.

It is on the outskirts of Bogotá in Zipaquira in Cundinamarca, Colombia. With 2680msn generating a quite pleasant thermal sensation. This project was approved in 1990 as the winner of a contest with 44 proposals. This project has a cultural and religious environmental hierarchy that also attracts tourists who visit Colombia.

During my visit I saw how art intervenes in a creative way and at the same time contrasts with the harshness of mining.

Although I am not a practitioner of erection, I found it quite interesting to have another project when it was never expected to see a cathedral below ground level, and moreover, it is doing some kind of rehabilitation to the space that was previously a mine of Salt.

Spaces

When you see me approaching this project, the first thing you notice is that you begin to climb a foot of a hill on which different slopes, you also begin to appreciate the landscaping and full of mysteries since the vegetation covers what is the final destination while we go up Then, when we reach a flat level, we do not find the parking lot and the pedestrian access in which we go through a control and then we access what is the salt park.

After accessing the control we continue walking and we find the basic services in which we also find places with small shops, we can see these places with a rather curious design but I liked it attractive since it gives an impression of lightness in the space, it is llama walking we find the square which has a circular shape in which it can be seen that it is designed as open-air events while at the same time several complementary services surround it, including several places with souvenirs of the place, food, inflatables, a climber, and a viewpoint of what is the landscape of the town. At the same time, on one side we enter the first uneven ramps to enter what is the salt mine.

Reaction

I must also point out that what I am telling you is based on my experience of the places I have been, I have not been to all of them due to time constraints. For example, there is also a museum that I could not access due to the fact that the interest with the people who were there was not was yours, so at that dot com in my post as a point of view.
Entering the mine El Estaca Creta is a mine that had been in operation since the 16th century approximately long before the arrival of the Spanish in South America and in December 1995 was when the current salt church was inaugurated. According to the comments of a local, a salt mine is currently operating next to this church, so when exploitation stops, they move the current use to this one and in which we will see soon they begin to exploit it again.

The church is in homage to our lady of the Rosary which is the patron saint of miners.

This project is a landmark of stereotomic architecture due to its complexity and creativity in which a very dynamic route is contemplated in which it has full and empty spaces in a cave context and at the same time it is filled with specifically planned lighting and with colors to generate different interior designs in the spaces. Always remembering that you are in a mine below ground level.
On the route you reach 180 m below ground level and that slope as the ventilation of the place is not an impediment, you can breathe quite well without any difficulty. It can also be seen in the series of the route that the space compresses and frees you by having different heights and projections, there is also a lot of variety in the texture of those that surround us, of what there are sculptures and carvings in salt and stone and also carvings in large-scale stones such as the crosses that we will see in the photos. Also the colors that are achieved naturally in the stone is thanks to the minerals they contain, not just salt.

On the route there is a central axis which distributes to the different stations what are the 14 viacrucis to then reach a large central nave that has the largest cross in the world being 16 m.

In this project they use many architectural, decorative and rustic elements which employ metaphors using them as symbolism to approach religious concepts.

My favorite space was one that is approximately in the middle of the route in which a coffee shop and some supply stores are located, within a large continuous space and that are visually connected. Also because this cafe used aesthetically modern materials and in the other places they used the same design of the places that are in the square for this place, the material used is organic with natural colors and textures which synthesize well the contrast between these and the nature of the cave. This is a very high space in which the rustic texture of the cave is seen on the ceiling while the pedestrian level is visualized as the visuals connect each of the spaces and even in the background there is a hole in the stone in the which you can see people pass from another corridor much further back and higher. And interesting to have visualized a contrast between the rustic and natural and bloody what is a mine with the modern and contemporary what is society today

Hola chicos saludos a todos, a qué hora compartirlas una nueva aventura y una gran experiencia a un lugar patrimonio del país. Realice un nuevo viaje a un destino turístico y cultural de acá de Colombia, llamar a la catedral de sal, el cual es una catedral con distintas capillas por debajo del nivel del suelo ubicada en una mina de sal.

Está está en las afueras de Bogotá en zipaquira en cundinamarca, Colombia. Con 2680msn generando un sensación térmica bastante agradable. Este proyecto fue aprobado en 1990 al ser ganador de un concurso con 44 propuestas. Este proyecto tiene una jerarquía ambiental cultural y religiosa además que atrae a turistas que visitan a Colombia.

En mi visita vi cómo interviene el arte de manera creativa y en la mismo tiempo se contrasta con la rudeza de la minería.

A pesar de que no soy practicante de la erección me pareció bastante interesante haber cuando se otro proyecto ya que jamás se esperaba ver una catedral por debajo del nivel del suelo, y más está haciendo unas especie de rehabilitación al espacio que antes era una mina de sal.

Espacios

Al verme acercando a este proyecto lo primero que se percibe en que se empieza a subir un pie de cerro en el cual distintos taludes, también se empieza a apreciar el paisajismo y lleno de misterios ya que la vegetación tapa lo que es el destino final mientras vamos subiendo. Luego ya al llegar a un nivel plano no encontramos con el estacionamiento y el acceso peatonal en el cual se pasa por un control y luego accedemos a lo que es el parque de la sal.

Luego de acceder al control seguimos caminando y nos encontramos a los servicios básicos en los cuales también encontramos locales con pequeños comercios, estos locales los podemos apreciar con un diseño bastante curioso pero me gustó atractivo ya que da una impresión de ligereza en el espacio, se llama caminando encontramos la plaza el cual tiene forma circular en el cual se puede apreciar que está diseñada como eventos al aire libre mientras al mismo tiempo la rodean varios servicios complementarios, entre ellos varios locales con recuerdo de lugar, comida, inflables, un escalador, y un mirador de lo que es el paisaje del pueblo. Al mismo tiempo de un lado nos metemos en las primeras rampas de desnivel para ir entrando a lo que es la mina de sal.

Reacción

También debo destacar que lo que le estoy contando es según mi experiencia a los sitios en que estuve, no estuve en todos por cuestiones de tiempo por ejemplo hay un museo también que no pude acceder por cuestión de que el interés con las personas que estaban no era el suyo, así que en ese punto com en mi post como un punto de vista.
Ingresando a la mina El estaca Creta es una mina que funcionaba desde el siglo 16 aproximadamente mucho antes dela llegada delos españoles a Sudamérica y en diciembre de 1995 fue cuando se inauguró la actual iglesia de sal. Según los comentarios de un local actualmente al lado de esta iglesia está funcionando una mina de sal entonces cuando se detenga la explotación ellos mudan el uso actual a esta y en la que veremos próximamente la empiezan a explotar nuevamente.

La iglesia es en homenaje a nuestra señora del Rosario la cuál es la patrona de los mineros.

Este proyecto es un hito de la arquitectura estereotómica por su complejidad y creatividad en el cual se contempla un recorrido muy dinámico en el que tiene llenos y vacíos en un contexto de cueva y al mismo tiempo se llena de una iluminación específicamente planeada y con colores para generar distintos interiorismos en los espacios. Siempre recordando que se está en una mina por debajo del nivel del suelo.
En el recorrido se llega a 180 m por debajo del nivel del suelo y eso pendiente como la ventilación de lugar no es ningún impedimento, se respira bastante bien sin dificultad alguna. También se puede apreciar en la serie del recorrido que el espacio comprime y te libera al tener distintas alturas y proyecciones, también hay mucha variedad en la textura de los que nos rodea, de qué hay esculturas y tallados en sal y piedra y además también entallados en piedras de Gran escala como por ejemplo las cruces que veremos en las fotos. También los colores que se logre manera natural en la piedra es gracias a los minerales que contienen no es solamente la sal.

En el recorrido se encuentran un eje central el cual distribuye a la distintas esas estaciones qué son las 14 viacrucis para luego llegar a una gran nave central que posee la cruz más grande del mundo siendo está de 16 m.

En este proyecto usan muchos elementos arquitectónicos, decorativo y rústicos los cuales emplean metáforas usando los como simbolismo para acercarse a conceptos religiosos.
