When you think of Darwin, Australia you likely think of the outback, but Darwin is a reasonably sized city, about 150,000 people live there, and perhaps unsurprisingly given most of the city was wiped out in the mid 1970's by Cyclone Tracey a fair amount of it is modern and highrise.
This is one of those buildings. Most people probably call it the Paspaley building, although it's officially called the Charles Darwin Centre. The Paspaley's are pearling family that have operated in Darwin for about 80 odd years, spend any time in Darwin and you realise their name is on every second thing in this city.
The building itself is a really nice example of modern corporate architecture - Designed by Pei Cobb Freed - who are pretty darn famous - from what I can tell they only have one other major building in Australia - Collins Place towers in Melbourne so this is pretty important. It was built in 2015 and is the Headquarters of Paspaley as well as providing offices for other tenants. It's 80m high and about 20 storeys
