Yesterday afternoon I was visited by a building conductor, he asked me to make 5 toilet doors for a public toilet building which was almost completed, so today I went to the building to measure exactly the size of the door that I would make.
And this time I will share a little discussion that is different from my previous post, usually I share posts about furniture, but this time about the public toilet building.
In human life, it certainly cannot be separated from construction words, because all humans need a place to live and of course it will require construction, such as a house, in building a house, the manufacturing process will certainly be carried out and it is called building construction. ..(this is just my opinion which is not very familiar with architecture)..
this building is still or under construction, this building is a public toilet which is not far from my workshop, in the building there are 3 toilets and 2 bathrooms and a large water tub, this building is in the shape of an 'L' liter, for the rooms have different sizes, the room for the toilet has a size of 2 m x 2 m and for the bathroom it has a size of 2 m x 3 m, in each bathroom room there is a water reservoir.
Talking about building construction, there are not many things that I can describe because I don't really understand architecture, but I try to explain it as best I can.
In a building construction there are many things and processes until the building is ready to be finished, starting with the process of excavating the soil to attach the foundation iron and base iron for the pillars of the building, then proceed to the process of assembling the iron sloof and iron pillars, and also the process of installing pipes for sewers and others and then continuing with the process of casting sloof to become a building foundation.
Then the process of installing bricks will be carried out according to the height of the building listed on the design of the building and also the installation of frames for windows and doors, after the brick installation process is complete, it will proceed to the process of assembling iron for the upper sloof and then it will be cast. it will be carried out the plastering process for all the walls of the building, and then a floor casting process will be carried out and finally ceramics will be installed.
For the process of installing the roof of a building, it depends on the craftsman who made the building, some do it after the top sloof casting process is then plastered on the walls, and there are also those who make plastering of the walls first and then proceed to the roof installation, but the point is to install ceramics on the roof. Flooring will be done after the roof installation is complete.
And the last is the process of installing doors and windows which are then continued with the painting process until finally the building can be inhabited.
And that's a little explanation about the construction of a building from me, maybe this explanation is more inclined to the construction of houses, and if for the construction of high-rise buildings and tall buildings maybe the process and stages will be much different from what I described, but of course the foundation and support poles will be slightly the same as I described (according to my understanding that I saw in the field of work).
And for the building in my post, it has entered the stage of installing ceramics on the floor, and because this building is a public toilet, ceramics are attached to the walls half of the height of the building walls, this can make the toilet look neater and cleaner, and for ceramics that are pasted on the floor and on the wall, it's different, for the floor, install ceramics that have a slightly rough surface, this is intended so that they are not slippery when the floor is wet and can minimize the occurrence of things that are not wanted, while for the walls, ceramics are used that are not slick and smooth.
There is one thing that impressed me about this building, namely the relief process on the outside of the building, precisely on the wind channel which is curved upwards, this process is a 3-dimensional formation process in certain parts of a building, which is done using cement.
In carrying out this process requires a mall that has been cut according to the desired 3-dimensional shape, in carrying out this process requires special skills and high patience so that the results are satisfactory, you can see it in the image below.
