Varadero Boulevard [ESP-ENG]

Hello to all friends of Architecture and Design, I come to this community again to show you the Boulevard de Varadero, which is located on Avenida 1ra de Varadero where streets 61, 62 and 63 converge, it is the most recent and new Boulevard of Cuba and I had the pleasure of visiting when I was on vacation there, its design caught my attention, very cheerful, full of bright colors and very well decorated

Varadero Boulevard was designed with the aim of grouping several gastronomic, recreational and commercial centers to give added value to that resort, being one of the most important tourist centers in the country, considering that it was made with great taste, it brings a lot of aesthetics and color to the place. It was inaugurated on August 15, 2021, that is, it is only 11 months old. The project was in charge of the Matanzas Architecture and Engineering Project Company (Empai) with the young architect Martha Victoria Coutín Sindorenko, 28, as the main designer.

Buenas para todos los amigos de Arquitectura y Diseño nuevamente vengo a esta comunidad para mostrarles el Boulevard de Varadero, el cual se encuentra ubicado en la Avenida 1ra de Varadero donde confluyen las calles 61, 62 y 63, es el Boulevard más reciente y nuevo de Cuba y tuve el placer de visitar cuando estuve de vacaciones por allá, me llamó mucho la atención su diseño, muy alegre, lleno de colores vivos y muy bien decorado.
El Boulevard de Varadero fue diseñado con el objetivo de agrupar varios centros gastronómicos, recreativos y comerciales para darle un valor agregado a ese balneario, siendo uno de los polos turísticos más importantes del país, considerando que fue realizado con mucho gusto, aporta mucha estética y color al lugar. Fue inaugurado el 15 de agosto de 2021, es decir, solo tiene 11 meses. El proyecto estuvo a cargo de la Empresa de Proyectos de Arquitectura e Ingeniería de Matanzas (Empai) con la joven arquitecta Martha Victoria Coutín Sindorenko, de 28 años, como diseñadora principal.

This Boulevard has a particularity that distinguishes it from the rest of those in Cuba, which are characterized by being straight streets, it covers 3 streets that connect with 1st Avenue and has a varied offer.

At the entrance with large letters and very striking colors is the name of the Boulevard "Varadero", each letter has a color, it gives a touch of joy to the place. Then you take a veneered street that has some benches that simulate stones or vice versa, it looks very original and the street is decorated with tubular arches of different colors.

Este Boulevard tiene una particularidad, que lo distingue del resto de los de Cuba, que se caracterizan por ser calles rectas, este abarca 3 calles que se conectan con la 1ra Avenida y tiene una variada oferta.
En la entrada con letras grande y con colores muy llamativos está el nombre del Boulevard "Varadero", cada letra tiene un color, le da un toque de alegría al lugar. A continuación se toma una calle enchapada que tiene unas bancas que simulan piedras o viceversa, se ve muy original y la calle está decorada con arcos tubulares de diferentes colores.

It has some wooden pergolas on the different paths through which you can travel from one area to another, it gives it a more beachy and tropical atmosphere, it beautifies it and at the same time helps us to cover ourselves from the sun, it has a very nice design because they make like zigzag imitating the waves of the sea, I really liked that look.

Tiene unas pérgolas de madera en los diferentes caminos por los que se puede transitar de una zona a otra, le da un ambiente más playero y tropical, lo embellece y a la vez nos ayuda a cubrirnos del sol, tiene un muy bonito el diseño porque hacen como zigzag imitando las olas del mar, me gusto mucho esa apariencia.

All the streets have veneered floors, as well as the sidewalks, some with cobbled shapes like our colonial Havana but organized in a modern way, to simulate this the adocrete with different colors was used, there are rustic tile paths that form figures on the floor very original and beautiful design.

Todas las calles tienen pisos enchapados, al igual que las aceras, algunas con formas empedradas como nuestra Habana colonial pero organizadas de forma moderna, para simular esto se utilizó el adocreto con diferentes colores, hay caminos de baldosas rústicas que forman figuras en el piso muy original y de bonito diseño.

There are different umbrellas, canvases or tensoforms that are placed outside closed establishments so that tourists can make occasional stops or sit down to have a drink or meal without being punished by the sun. The sun in my Cuba is very strong.

Existen diferentes sombrillas, lonas o tensoformas que se colocan en las afueras de establecimientos cerrados con el objetivo de que el turista pueda hacer paradas ocasionales o sentarse a tomar una bebida o comida sin ser castigado por el sol. El sol en mi Cuba es muy fuerte.

The vegetation of this Boulevard, in addition to adorning and giving a naturist touch, also serves as shade, it has beautiful framboyán trees whose flowers have striking colors and provide enormous shade due to the composition of the umbrella-shaped tree.

La vegetación de este Boulevard además de adornar y dar un toque naturista, también sirve de sombra, cuenta con hermosos árboles de framboyán cuyas flores tienen colores llamativos y brindan una enorme sombra debido a la composición del árbol en forma de sombrilla.

Life and joy radiate everywhere, and currently it was almost empty because the school year had not finished and it is also the low season for international tourism. The different places have amazing characterizing designs and sculptures. Despite the fact that the creation of this beautiful space came along with the Pandemic, they radiate an overflowing joy.

La vida y la alegría irradian por todas partes, y actualmente estaba casi vacío porque no había concluido el curso escolar y además es la temporada de baja del turismo internacional. Los diferentes lugares tienen diseños sorprendentes que los caracterizan y esculturas. A pesar que la creación de este bonito espacio llegó junto con la Pandemia, irradian una alegría desbordante.

There are different specialized centers with very ingenious designs such as the Casa del Ron, on the left side of the entrance there is a design that includes three bottles of Havana Club Rum with four corks, on the right there is a very striking sculpture entitled Free Spirit, which embodies to a satyr riding a motorcycle, his lower extremities end in "helmets" like equine animals, he has a very expressive face and a wide smile, made by the sculptor Julio Zamora Daniel, a native of Cárdenas, Matanzas. In the back of the house is the same character, but sitting on some rum barrels and with a glass filled with rum that is poured from one of the barrels.

Hay diferentes centros especializados con diseños muy ingeniosos como la Casa del Ron, del lado izquierdo de la entrada hay un diseño que incluye tres botellas de Ron Havana Club con cuatro corchos, a la derecha hay una escultura muy llamativa titulada Free Spirit, el cual encarna a un sátiro montando una motocicleta, sus extremidades inferiores terminan en "cascos" como animales equinos, tiene un rostro muy expresivo y una amplia sonrisa, realizado por el escultor Julio Zamora Daniel, oriundo de Cárdenas, Matanzas. En la parte de atrás de la casa está el mismo personaje, pero sentado en unos barriles de ron y con un vaso llenándolo del ron que se vierte de uno de los barriles.

There is also the Casa del Habano, where it shows us on the portal a sculpture of a man with a hat and with a cigar between his fingers. The cheese house and the chocolate house, all provided specialized services, were remodeled and as their location was close, they were included in the Boulevard, although the construction of the latter dates back to 1940.

También están la Casa del Habano, donde nos muestra en el portal una escultura de un señor con sombrero y con un tabaco entre sus dedos. La casa del queso y la del chocolate, todas brindan servicio especializados, fueron remodeladas y como su ubicación eran cercanas quedaron incluidas en el Boulevard , aunque la construcción de esta última data del año 1940.
