Had I known this sooner....
I wished that I knew this place a lot sooner because this is one of the best co-working spots for those who love cold temperature. Working in a cold environment fits me and paired with decent chair, socket, and a good table, I wouldn’t move an inch. In this place, they also have coffee, a heavenly drink that should never be missed from any good co-working spot. While the coffee in this place isn’t a specialty coffee, I was thoroughly surprised of its taste. The coffee is something considered as fast coffee. They are often selling flavored lattes and trendy flavors. They definitely pack a punch when you want a caffeine with extra diabetes on the side.
Uniquely, the place is located inside a gaming computer store. Before getting into the co-working spot, you would cross displays of laptops that costs $1000. This store while specifically sells gaming equipments and PC, they also sell regular office laptops. So, upon entering there will be the bar of coffee shop on the right side and then a little way to the stairs which will take you to the heaven of the co-working spot.
I am saying this as a hidden gem because seemingly, not a lot of people know about this space. When I was there on a friday afternoon, the place was rather vacant. I was also pleasantly surprised that the chair is sturdy, comfortable and they are better than the so-called WFC cafe friendly chairs would have. The table was set ergonomically that with a laptop stand, it was just perfect. I think those who designed this building was quite brilliant. They are one stop area for tech-hub and provides a space for people who want to work from outside of their home to do that.
As usual, I brought everything with me from semi-noise cancelling headphone, mousemat, to my laptop. I was laser focused and was extremely productive. In colder temperature, my brain works a lot better than if I were to stay in a hotter room. I grew up at schools where there’s always air conditioned, so it’s probably why affecting the way I functioned too. I ended up studying at the place and finished my coffee a lot longer than I normally would. The only con from the place is that it isn’t open 24 hours. I wished it would but there are places to do that. Oh, as usual, I don’t test their WIFI but it was their whole atmosphere that draws me in to be productive. It was a feeling like inside a nice, comfy library but everyone was in front of their laptop and/or sometimes with their friends chatting away.
The space was an experience itself. I think this is what most co-working spot should do. I know the electricity bill might have costed a lot but it’s a brilliant idea of the computer store integrating cafe, their gaming product as well as the co-working spot that are open to anyone as long as they’re inside and buying coffee. In the place, you can even get food delivered by scanning the QR on the table. So, it was a nice spot to be in. I certainly don’t have much a say of the coffee because it’s just coffee. Yet the convenience of the place draws me in. They also added greens surrounding the place to make it a lot more livelier. Again biophilic design was also thoughtfully put into the space even if it was a fake one. Somehow, green color has that soothing & refreshing effect on my eyes. Do you also feel the same when visiting a space with greenery like that? does it motivate you to even be more productive?
