Acrylic Painting of (Now demolished) antebellum house in Birmingham's Southside.
This home was in need of repair when I drew this pencil drawing of the house on 14th St South in Birmingham. Soon after it was purchased by a law firm who renovated it shortly thereafter within 5 years it was taken down to make room for a parking lot. So my feelings were right after all.
After I drew it out I went over the drawing with hairspray to fix the pencil drawing then painted clear glaze of layered acrylic tinted glaze to give it color.
Similar to the techniques by Maxfield Parrish of the early 1900 who did a number of oil works and commercial art.
