The Pasee Grand Mosque is a mosque located in Panton Labu Subdistrict, Tanah Jambo Aye, North Aceh Regency - Aceh Province. Before the construction of this magnificent mosque as the Great Mosque of Pase, there was a mosque named Al-Jihad. Since childhood I have always been to this Pumpkin Panton City, because this city is my father's hometown. When Eid arrived, my family and I went home or came back here.
Al-Jihad Mosque used to be said to be small and simple in shape. The location of this mosque on the side (the bank of the Jambo Aye river), then the construction was moved close to the Inter-City Inter-Provincial Public Transport terminal (AKAP). The location of this mosque is right next to (side) the Banda Aceh Medan national highway. From a distance, this mosque already looks magnificent.
This mosque is a symbol of the greatness of the glorious history of the Islamic Kingdom of Samudera Pasai at that time. Where is the expansion and legitimacy of Islam to expand the service of Muslims in Southeast Asia. This mosque is the grandest mosque in the City of Panton Labu District, North Aceh Regency. The development of this mosque has been carried out several times to increase the number of worshipers capacity with a span of 1984 to 1986, then continued in 1989, 1998 and the last in 2009.
Construction continued until 2009 and the Aceh government provided funds of 3 billion for floors made of Greek ceramics. In addition, the following year, 180 million for continued construction, and 30 billion for large towers, interior gates and courtyard expansion. wisato.id
Seen from the courtyard of the mosque there are several date palm trees that are blooming, it also appears that the parking area is being renovated with paving blocks for mutual comfort. We can see how magnificent the dome that adorns the roof of this mosque. The green dome with ornaments typical of the Middle East, the overall architectural construction of the mosque is a combination of several mosques in Arabia. There are 5 domes, the largest main dome is located in the middle of the mosque. Then 4 more domes are on the front side of the mosque, left, right and back side of the mosque. Its overall color is dark green mixed with white and golden yellow stripes. Beside the dome there are small towers totaling 16 towers, the height is equivalent to the tip of the dome. The entire tower is yellow and has a dark red stripe.
On four sides of the entrance to the mosque, there are 4 stairs that have been provided with supports made of stainless as a place to hold people who want to enter the mosque so they don't fall, this is part of safety. For the number of stairs on one side of the door there are 8 levels. On many sides of the mosque there are also places for ablution besides the main place, so that people do not queue to perform ablution.
The entire color of the walls of the mosque is white as a sacred symbol because white represents the color of cleanliness. The walls of this mosque are designed using the krawang pattern which must be owned by the mosque because the krawang pattern and texture add to the elegant shape of the mosque itself. The color of the entrance to the mosque is golden, totaling 4 pieces with calligraphy patterns as well.
For the inside, I will explain a little. In terms of the floor, the Pasee Grand Mosque uses Greek ceramics, then the foundation in this mosque is cream and gold stripes. The relief in the mosque is an extraordinary art to add to the magnificent accent of the mosque. In the middle of the mosque, under the main dome, there is a chandelier that serves for additional lighting, its shape is also very unique which will exude its own charm from the appearance of the existing design. Under the main dome, besides the chandelier, there is also an additional art in the form of "Dome Calligraphy", the addition of calligraphy art in the dome is also an important element because it will beautify the mosque. In front of the mihrab there is a pulpit made of teak wood, usually this pulpit is specially ordered by teak wood craftsmen. Above the pulpit there is a calligraphy painting that also functions to beautify the mosque's ornaments. To beautify the pase mosque, colored glass is also used called "Patrited Glass" with a calligraphy motif.
