The meaning of Architecture varies person to person. what I feel about architecture and built environment is so much deep.
My first trip with my friends, This place lies in Bangalore, India. The feeling of this place is just celestial. There's no god preached here due to several reasons, moreover I am neutral and respects all the beliefs in the world. but just the built environment here is full of the intricate details, the peaceful feeling by just sitting around it and just staring and exploring the detailed carvings made me feel light and joyous. that serenity is unexplainable. I clicked the pictures of everything possible and then just sat by the side and gazed at the details starting from bottom and the design was so interlinked that it took my eyes swiftly to the top exploring every nook.
By the way the first picture is my desktop wallpaper as I wanted to have this memory flash everyday.
It was extremely cold and the sun added warmth, siting gazing at the destails and listening to the soft music was the best experience of that trip, it happens sometimes the connection you feel is unexplainable.
My first individual case study led me to this awesome building in my hometown Delhi which is named IHC(Indian habitat center)
after all the permissions to study this building , which were necessity due to so many guards at every doors. I went all around clicking pictures, drawing plans of certain floors
I would name this building to be Tropical delight The landscaping within this built environment is amazing I would suggest you to just visit once like its 9 acers of land and the building is enormous, I felt fresh here, the people working must have great day as built environment matters a lot all the mood lightens and brightens up by being in aesthetically pleasing environment, the sandstone seating by the tree so many birds all around, the brick façade was treat for the eyes, also the 5 star interior was the icing on the cake. the connection I felt was deep, observing every built detail like having planters outside of windows, little ponds, partially covered roofs, toilets on the landing, hexagonal conference rooms and also talking to the staff over there. after my case study I sat outside in the open area, the scorching sun was not effecting as the atmosphere was all balanced by the landscape which was very smart move by the great architect Joseph Allen Stein.
The young and vibrant interior of this place with its mouth-watering and fingerlicking food just adds up to the amazingness of this place, this cafe is called as burger club. My friends and I love hanging out here once a week literally. the great interior, cool graphics on the wall, dim pendant lights, modern wooden furniture and no time boundations makes us feel connected to this place. the quoted frames were our suggestion to the manager of the place, he added them up and now we feel more cozy. The feeling of joy and laughter is triggered as soon as I step into this place.
I feel like every one of us experience some emotion through architecture around us but not everyone considers them. Connecting to the places is equally important as to connecting to the people out there. when the environment is lively we are automatically cheered up. having creative spaces around matters a lot one can change the state of mind and think differently in different places. so living enclosed or partially enclosed in aesthetically appealing built environment makes a person happy and lively.
