Touring the Metropolis mall
I like to know new places and when I can I give myself some ride to explore different things, a few weeks ago I made a small tour to another state of my country with one of my brothers. This trip I did with a small tour company and they had a tour of four places I did not know and at a good price, I could not miss this opportunity.
Among the places we visited was the Metropolis shopping center in Valencia, Carabobo state, Venezuela. This state has developed in the last decade creating parks, cafes and places focused on tourism and recreation. Valencia has many shopping malls, some new and others old like this one I present today, years ago I visited it with my parents but it was so long ago that I do not remember it and my brother did not know it, he loves these places.

Me gusta conocer lugares nuevos y cuando puedo me regaló algún paseo para explorar cosas diferentes, hace unas semanas realicé un pequeño tour a otro estado de mi país con uno de mis hermanos. Este viaje lo hice con una pequeña empresa de turismo y tenían un paseo por cuatro lugares que no conocía y a buen precio, no podía perder esta oportunidad.
Entre los lugares que conocimos estaba el centro comercial Metrópolis en Valencia estado Carabobo, Venezuela. Este estado se ha desarrollado en la última década creando parques, cafés y lugares enfocados al turísmo y la recreación. Valencia tiene muchos centros comerciales unos nuevos y otros antiguos como este que hoy les presento, hace años lo recorrí con mis padres pero fue hace tanto tiempo que no lo recuerdo y mi hermano no lo conocía, a él le encantan estos lugares.
At the entrance it has a huge parking lot and enough space for the car to be placed wherever the driver wants, it also has a parking lot just below the mall this serves for vehicles to be in the shade and more comfort for users, the interior parking can be seen under the yellow columns; at first glance it is not appreciated which gives an aspect of beauty to the facade of the mall with yellow, melon and fuchsia pastel colors you can see part of its front, but it is so big that only with a panoramic view from a great distance you could see it in a photograph.
As we arrived at lunch time we simply entered from the parking lot, went up to the second floor and found a place to eat, we bought at KFC and after having a full belly and a happy heart, we went for a walk and got to know the whole mall.
De entrada tiene un estacionamiento enorme y el espacio suficiente para que el carro se ubique donde el chofer quiera, también tiene un estacionamiento justo debajo del centro comercial esto sirve para que los vehículos estén en la sombra y a mayor comodidad para los usuarios, el estacionamiento interior se puede observar debajo de las columnas amarillas; a simple vista no se aprecia lo que dá un aspecto de belleza a la fachada del centro comercial con colores pasteles amarillo, melón y fucsia se ve parte de su frente, pero es tan grande que solo con una panorámica a gran distancia se podría ver en una fotografía.
Cómo llegamos a la hora del almuerzo simplemente entramos desde el estacionamiento subimos al primer piso y ubicamos un lugar para comer, compramos en KFC después de tener la barriguita llena y el corazón contento, nos fuimos a caminar y conocer todo el centro comercial.
It has a very wide central hallway, with granite floors of geometric shapes and designs with the same colors of the facade element that I realized when I saw the photos, because my first impression is that it was very clean and bright. It has a transparent blue glass ceiling that illuminates the entire space, the light fixtures are small and emit a dim light leaving everything illuminated by natural light.
The bases of each level were supported with round columns of the colors that stand out, some yellow some red. While walking we found a very nice playground, it caught my attention because it was made of sand, had a little house and many balls, it seems to me a perfect place for children to have fun while parents rest a little.
Tiene un pasillo central muy amplio, con pisos de granito de formas y diseños geométricos con los mismos colores de la fachada elemento que me dí cuenta al ver las fotos, porque mi primera impresión es que estaba muy limpio y brillante. Tiene un techo transparente de vidrio azules que ilumina todo el espacio, las lámparas de luz son pequeñas y emiten una luz tenue dejando que todo se ilumine con la luz natural.
Las bases de cada nivel eran sostenidas con columnas redondas de los colores que destacan, algunas amarillas otras rojas. Mientras caminaba encontramos un parque infantil muy lindo, llamó mi atención porque era de arena, tenía una casita y muchas pelotas, me parece un lugar perfecto para que los niños se diviertan mientras los padres descansan un poco.
Then we decided to go down and in this part there were many fountains, the color that stood out was blue, both in the benches and in the tiles of the fountains, although the columns are red they made a contrast with the ceiling and its blue lighting. Here is the main stage for events and elevators, after sitting for a while to rest with the sound of water flowing in the fountains I could also hear the ambient music they had and I was surprised that it was modern.
We went back up, and here I realized something, that on this level there was a lot of light, yellow color and completely glass walls, the sun's rays passed everywhere, from this level was very nice at the bottom, we walked as far as we could finding the food fair, there were many businesses but we ate elsewhere, ie in a business that was not in the food fair.
Después decidimos bajar y en esta parte habían muchas fuentes, el color que destacaba era el azul, tanto en los bancos como en los azulejos de las fuentes, aunque las columnas son rojas hicieron un contraste con el techo y su iluminación azul. Aquí está el escenario principal para eventos y los ascensores, después de sentarnos un rato a descansar con el sonido del agua que brotaba en la fuentes también pude escuchar la música de ambiente que tenían y me sorprendió que era moderna.
Volvimos a subir, y aqui me di cuenta de algo, que en este nivel habia mucha luz, color amarillo y paredes completamente de vidrio, los rayos del sol pasaban por todas partes, desde este nivel se veia muy lindo la parte inferior, caminamos lo que pudimos encontrando la feria de comida, habían muchos negocios pero nosotros comimos en otra parte, es decir en un negocio que no estaba en la feria de comida.
We kept going up and when we arrived I read a notice describing where we were, in that instant I understood everything 😆, we had reached the sky level, the last upper level. The mall was divided by the sky level, going down is the sun level, then the water level and the bottom one the earth level 😬. I thought it was a very clever way to organize a mall, decorate it with this theme and make it easy for users to find a location.
On the sky level, there was the cinema with two large halls, if I'm not mistaken, I checked everything up to the terrace where a discotheque operated. Returning with more sense of location, I enjoyed every element I saw, it is a very spacious, quiet and solitary shopping center. It has businesses of large commercial brands but I am concerned about the low influx of people, the photos are from a Saturday between 1 and 4 in the afternoon.
Seguimos subiendo y al llegar leí un aviso describiendo donde estábamos, en ese instante entendí todo 😆, habíamos llegado al nivel cielo, el último nivel superior. El centro comercial estaba dividido por el nivel cielo, bajando esta el nivel sol, luego el nivel agua y el de abajo el nivel tierra 😬. Me pareció una forma muy inteligente de organizar un centro comercial, decorarlo con esta temática y facilitar a los usuarios una ubicación.
En el nivel cielo, estaba el cine con dos salas grandes, sino me equivoco, revisé todo hasta la terraza donde funcionaba una discoteca. Regresando con más sentido de ubicación disfrute cada elemento que veía, es un centro comercial muy espacioso, tranquilo y solitario. Tiene negocios de grandes marcas comerciales pero me preocupa la poca afluencia de personas, las fotos son de un día sábado entre la 1 y 4 de la tarde.
For example, I found the headquarters of a health foundation funcama with a diversity of services, they do exams of all kinds, they have consultations of many specialists and also perform general and oncological surgeries, for the whole family. My first impression was of surprise but I think it is a good strategy because the place lends itself to recreation and perhaps if a person is going to do an exam or health checkup it may come in handy to visualize something else to distract and for the foundation is a good place to not go unnoticed, in the end I think everyone wins because the foundations to have low prices are visited by many people benefiting the mall.
I toured one or another complete level, I did not know the whole mall because it is very large, I'm sure I missed some commercial things and its architectural structure, it will be for another opportunity to come for a full day just to know it well. When it was our turn to leave we got lost 🤣 but we were not the only ones, the tour guide had to go back to look for the people in the group, my brother and I arrived alone, we were already tired and it was the middle of the tour, my brother enjoyed this part a lot since he likes shopping malls.

Había muchos locales vacíos pero creo que los administradores se están reinventando para atraer a las personas, por ejemplo encontré la sede de una fundación de salud funcama con una diversidad de servicios, hacen exámenes de todo tipo, tienen consultas de muchos especialistas y también realizan cirugías generales y oncológicas, para toda la familia. Mi primera impresión fue de sorpresa pero creo que es una buena estrategia ya que el lugar se presta para la recreación y tal vez si una persona se va hacer un examen o chequeo de salud le puede venir bien visualizar otra cosa para distraerse y para la fundación es un buen lugar para no pasar desapercibido, al final creo que todos ganan ya que las fundaciones por tener precios económicos son visitadas por muchas personas beneficiando al centro comercial.
Recorrí uno que otro nivel completo, no conocí todo el centro comercial porque es muy grande, seguro se me pasaron algunas cosas comerciales y de su estructura arquitectónica, será para otra oportunidad que venga un día completo solo para conocerlo bien. Cuando nos tocó retirarnos nos perdimos 🤣 pero no fuimos los únicos, el guía de la excursión tuvo que regresar a buscar a las personas del grupo, mi hermano y yo llegamos solos, ya estábamos cansados y era la mitad del recorrido, mi hermano disfrutó mucho esta parte ya que le gustan los centros comerciales.
