Hello friends, a few days ago when I was on vacation outside the city to be precise in Kabanjahe, North Sumatra, Indonesia. I stopped at a mosque to pray. After praying I began to pay attention to my surroundings and I was very interested in the architecture of the mosque and the design of the cafe which is located in one area, here there is also an inn for tourists from outside the city who want to stay overnight. What is more interesting is that the cafe in the mosque area is open to non-Muslim visitors, because many people in the Kabanjahe area are Catholic and Protestant.
I took photos at night when I stopped at the AS-SAWIYAH mosque, but honestly at night the view at the cafe looks beautiful with the decorative lighting designs that seem romantic.
When entering the mosque area that does not have a gate (because most mosques have a gate), visitors' eyes will usually be fixed on a cafe located at the front of the mosque, Naf's Cafe. This cafe is a mini cafe, but the architecture of this cafe manages to steal the attention of visitors.
The interior design of Naf's cafe is so elegant with the dominance of wood and bamboo that dominates the interior design of this cafe.
Unique benches designed like tubes with polished wood as the main material, adding to the romantic impression of Naf's cafe.
a unique decorative lamp design, the lamps in this cafe are placed in a bamboo, the bamboo design is similar to "kentongan" namely bamboo which is usually beaten when there is news (kentongans are usually found in villages where there is no electricity).
Next to the cafe there is a large parking lot, a 3 in 1 design, namely a cafe to the right of the entrance, an inn to the left of the entrance and a mosque in the middle area. These three architectural buildings are separated by a parking lot.
The architecture of the inn building is in a modern style with a building design consisting of two floors.
on the first floor it is designed with several bedrooms, a kitchen and also a visitor's gathering place, on the side veranda there are several wooden chairs for guests.
on the second floor is designed for rooms and also balconies, so that visitors can enjoy beautiful night views typical of the mountains.
The architecture of the mosque building is a modern style architecture, but I like every detail of the windows, vents and ornaments of the mosque.
The vent design looks classic and beautiful.
On the wall is also designed with several vents, the vent that functions as a place for the entry and exit of wind and fresh air exchange also functions as a wall decoration.
The architecture of the front porch of the mosque is also beautiful, on the front porch there are several semi-circular frames, I don't know what their function is, whether it's just for decoration or for windows too, because the mosque is under renovation.
The design of window frames made of wood with a semicircular shape caught my attention, there is one large frame that contains 3 wooden windows in the frame, the design is really unique.
Because the inside of the mosque is still being renovated, so I didn't take pictures of the inside of the mosque.
how about friends who love architecture + design, have you ever seen architecture and 3 in 1 design like this?
Thank you for reading my writing.
all the photos I took with the Realme GT master Limited edition 5G phone camera.
