Hello the Architecture+Design fellas...

Nowadays, it is not hard to find a library in Jakarta that is open to the public. On social media, many people have gone to libraries, informing that this and that library has unique armature and aesthetic value. So, as long as you are in the capital, you can come to any library to add to your experience.
Besides the coffee shops, I also like to go to libraries that have gone viral on social media. One of them is the Erasmus Huis Library in Netherlands Embassy. Oh no, at first I heard that the Erasmus Huis library is very good in terms of architecture, then my friend invited me there. I haven't seen how people on social media frame it, I also didn't find out because I didn't want to have too high expectations. So, when I had the chance I went to Erasmus Huis to check it out.
This is the Erasmus Huis library that went viral.
Let's Get it!
Erasmus Huis Library
As I have mentioned above, the Erasmus Huis Library is located inside the Dutch Embassy area. Because it is inside the embassy area, you must follow the existing procedures such as body checking and must clearly say that you want to go to the library. Then, the security will confirm another security that a guest is going to the library.
After that, you will find the Erasmus Huis library building behind you. Let's go inside. This is the entrance from the side of the exhibition building. First, there was an exhibition at that time, so I entered from that room. Let's see what the architecture of the Erasmus Huis Library in the Dutch Embassy looks like.
here we go, the Erasmus Huis Library...
When I entered the library, I saw several people already there, sitting at the reading table while reading the books they had chosen. Then there were also people who were looking at books on the shelves, as well as people who were taking videos and photos—this was one of me because I also started by taking photos.

The Erasmus Huis Library has a combination that makes it look very minimalist, which is about how they combine brown and white colors in the room. White for the walls and ceiling—also some furniture such as tables and bookshelves, then dark brown for some of the bookshelves attached to the wall. Then there is the blue color on the reading chairs that are scattered in several corners of the room. In terms of interior, the Erasmus Huis Library is very pleasing to the eye and makes our vision feel comfortable.
Do you notice the large circle of lights hanging from the ceiling? That adds to the minimalist value of this interior.

I have chosen 4 best spots in the Erasmus Huis library. Namely the corner of the room near the second-floor stairs, the two beds - which are used for who knows what, are in front of the bookshelf near the stairs to the 2nd floor, then there is a personal reading chair with a backrest that will make you reluctant to move, then there is a children's bookshelf that has stairs to the top shelf.
Let's move to second-floor.

On the second floor, the space is not big enough, there is only a small hallway for visitors to walk and choose what books they want to read. The floor also looks a bit fragile, I'm not sure if this small hallway is full of visitors, it will be strong. This second floor is really not friendly for children visitors.

However, besides the hundreds of books on the shelves, the best thing about the second floor is seeing the first floor which looks very beautiful. There are two very contrasting colors visible, like seeing day and night. The white floor looks like day, while the brown one looks like night. Ying and yang.
Do you agree with my statement? The view from above is beautiful.

In terms of space concept, the Erasmus Huis Library has a minimalist concept that looks very national compared to its identity which is located in the Dutch embassy. So when I spread the photos of this space without mentioning the name and location, maybe people who have never been there will say that this library is an ordinary library. I don't even know which part of the architecture has a Dutch touch—except for the books in Dutch.

Even so, the Erasmus Huis Library is not enough if you only visit it once. I have been here many times just to find the meaning of—tranquility. Moreover, the location of Erasmus Huis is very easy to reach by public transportation. It won't make you lost.

Hi, Halo, Annyeong! Welcome to my galaxy.
I have so much imagination in my head. Something that I can't achieve as a human and as a girl. So writing is very challenging. Since Junior High School, I have written whatever I want to write. Without skill, I just write what I want to read. Now I have 12th published novels and all of them are romance.
Yeah, I proudly say that I am a passionate author, traveler wannabe, and blogger.
