Don't tell me it isn't so. I understand that it is difficult to admit it and even to discuss it, but to deny that you, me, your grandparents, my grandparents; and almost anyone who has ever lived has a side that is not entirely public, and that even if years and centuries go by, the taboo is still there; not only seems to me absurd and even dangerous, but it does not contribute much to the experience of learning to detach. Believe me, this makes more sense if it is explained in a more human, more authentic way? And I think that a large part of the collective boredom we all feel and complain about is that we try to pretend so much.
I once tried not to smile for an entire day, and you won't believe how strange that experience was for me. People looked at me weird, women frowned, and men felt like something was weird around them. The reason why I did this? Because I read it on Reddit. And the theory behind that behaviour is simple: human beings are adapted to recognise patterns. In general, jokes, humour and small talk help to smooth over tense moments in everyday life. They are a useful social preamble....

For a few decades now, however, we have decided that it is more important to listen to prejudice than to experience... That's why mentioning the following words: ‘Only Fans’ is synonymous with ‘shame’ or ‘promiscuity’. It doesn't matter, neither of them makes the woman who dares to say them look good. And no, it's not a question of vindicating that social network or a certain business model on the Internet, but rather that a minimum of words is enough to shut down our entire logical system, and proliferate the darkest part of every human being: the other side that no one...
What, did I disappoint you? Did you come here thinking that this would be something with a sad and melancholic connotation? Well, on this occasion, not necessarily. I consider a number of extremely gloomy characteristics that affect our ability to understand, and limit our options. Exercising and eating well are no longer fantastic and admirable habits, but are also part of an urban pseudo-sect that proliferates where gaining muscle and setting a ‘gymrat’ is synonymous with being a stoic in our era. And no, that's as far as it goes...

Both 2025 and 1930 share eerily similar characteristics. Both years represent pinnacles in the proliferation of archaic, conservative (ethically) visions and above all, they are a response to a lot of situations or previous ones that far from being perfect, at least had good intentions... It is not surprising to see again in the face of certain ‘customs’ of yesteryear such as xenophobia, misogyny, loss of rights and intolerance in general. A return to violence and the eradication of individuality seems to be the trend of the times. The face peering out from behind the halo of darkness? And in the meantime, what will you and I do? Will we stand idly by? I don't think so....
