I'd read on my village Facebook page that a red crested pochard had been spotted on one of the ponds across from me.
This is my entry for the Reflection Hunter's Contest - Round 202.
The pochard is not commonly seen in the village, so I had to pop down to the pond for a look.
On arriving at the pond, it was so easy to spot amongst the mallard ducks with its red head and elegant appearance. The sun shone brightly, creating some lovely reflections of the duck on the shimmering water.
There was also a solitary black headed gull that stood on the frozen part of the pond with the relections of the tree and houses in the water.
