now it was the 17th of may yesterday which is our constitution day here in norway and every year there's a parade. but this parade photo here had nothing to do with that.
no no no, this is our shadow hunters parade to celebrate @moretea for drinking a whole case of beer all by himself. that's how he recognized the shadow as soon as he saw it. here's the proof for all you _____ who said he couldn't do it..
amidst all the merriment he wanted to change his username to @morebeer but hive was so pissed he didn't share any so they refused to allow it.
the judge hooted like a monkey when i told him that story. oh, let me introduce him, the young fellow is quite a character. without us knowing he climbed one of our chickoo trees and picked some chickoos. we first discovered him sitting on our compound wall munching away on some unripe fruit.
now we don't much like that sort of behavior but more often than not it's prudent to find out what's really going on before you start hooting and hollering and potentially making enemies. so i approached him unthreateningly.

-oh please don't mind sahib. my father was always shouting me for taking things without asking but i was really hungry and i noticed there was plenty of fruit your chickoo tree and ...
he sat looking down at his hands in remorse, too ashamed to look me in the eye. his meek innocent voice sounded sincerely regretful.
now it is true that there was more fruit than we knew what to do with. we give a lot away and we are very happy to observe and photograph birds when they come to feed, so i felt it would be unfair to spank this poor youngster.
-sahib, is there any way i can make up for taking the chickoos? i don't have any money but is there something i could do to help? i could pick the cashews that are too high for you to reach. i could...
hmmm i scratched my head wondering what could this guy possibly do to clear his tainted conscience... then it dawned on me, there was something, yes, yes!

his mischievous eyes brightened as his jaw dropped in shocked disbelief.
- i love shadow guessing contests!!! and i always wanted to be a judge!! but my father always shouted me for monkeying around dreaming such nonsense. can i really be a judge, uncle. can i really??
it touched my heart when he called me uncle.
and so it came to be. we were both happy and now it's your turn.
