Welcome 👁️ Shadow Hunters

Long time no see, but here I am again with some shadows that I hunted for you to enjoy, and you’ll notice you‘ve seen those yourself already. Sometimes you even might not have recognized them as such. The shadows that are thrown by clouds on clouds. Sometimes you can even see the contrails of planes throwing shadows on the clouds above or beneath them. Let‘s dive into some clouds now …

Here‘s the first shot of the soon to morph cloud column or tower throwing a long shadow on the cloud cover above it. We can even look through it at its top or is this just a trick of the light? It also looks a little like some kind of cartoon figure don‘t you think, that head there with the nose?!.

Now we look at one side of the sky that is also lit up from behind and therefore throwing some nice shadows in one direction.

The cloud column or tower morphed already and has gotten a little thicker so we can‘t look through it anymore, if that wasn‘t a trick of the light in the first place. It now tries very hard to look like the Horsehead Nebula out there in space, right?! Nevertheless it’s still throwing that looong shadow.

Here‘s the other side of the bulk of clouds and this part looks a bit like a coast line with some deeper areas of water, but no, its shadows also, who would‘ve expected that ;)

And the cloud tower again, now shrunk to a little, hmm, thumb maybe. Still throwing a pretty looong shadow right above it.

And now, Ladies and Gentlemen, the long shot or the „Cloud Map“ that shows the whole cloud thing and its shadows in one photo as an overview and …
