On one of the tables where I work stands this statuette of Rio de Janeiro, as if it were the actual Christ the Redeemer and my desk were the Corcovado Mountain. Christ the Redeemer is a symbol not only of Rio de Janeiro, but of all Brazil—both for believers and for the wider world.
En una de las mesas donde trabajo se alza esta estatuilla de Río de Janeiro, como si fuera el Cristo Redentor real y mi mesa fuera el Cerro de Corcovado. El Cristo Redentor es un símbolo no solo de Río de Janeiro sino de todo Brasil, tanto para creyentes como para todo el mundo.
I loved this photo because with a very simple composition supported by the use of black and white, it conveys so much. Amé esta foto porque con una composición muy sencilla apoyada en el uso del blanco y negro transmite mucho.
