Entry for the Shadow Contest/SMASh: Gaff Every Gaffe

Today this water bottle is mine!

This is a classic gaff. It’s made of bamboo. It’s long. It’s longer than all the other tools/poles around here. Women like it.

Reach out, snag the fish and help the fisherman land a catch. That is how they used it. This gaff was a tool for a job. Charter boats once had a crew like that. I'm not sure how it works now.

Most modern gaffs are metal like this one.

This metal gap is much shorter and has nice foam grips on it. This is a different tool.

Maybe you noticed another bamboo gaff in the image above? I forgot we had that one here. I'll mess around with that one next time. For now, let's get a closer look at the older bamboo gaff.

It's broken, but I still find it very useful.
See the crack down the middle? Weathered and cracked, hard to guess it's age. Just like me, and #HIVE.

This is a boat hook.

Correction, this was a boat hook. Someone broke it while trying to park their boat. Not a good sign of control boat control. These boat hooks are for helping people that can’t park boats or to give yourself a little push off or objects. Only for slow speeds. I haven't heard the story behind this broken boat hook.

Boat hooks would not be good for snagging fish, trash, or eye-lids while falling off of tall buildings.

Boat hooks are not the great for snagging trash. It might be good for a plastic bag or something flaccid.

Stupid wind. Just kidding. Lots of factors contribute to the trash. Lots of people factors. The CIA is too busy spreading litter around the ghetto to waste their time at a marina.

I didn't take a picture or everything, but the contrast in difficulty involved with retrieving these two items is fun. The glove was easy. Even a flaccid dick could snag that glove... although... sometimes bags and items with crevice hold water and become very heavy.

That wrap looks great. I wonder what they seal it with. Reminds me of telephone poles... FYUCK! I hope it's not that same goop. That stuff on telephone polls is poisonous. Yes, like everything else, but more.
