While vacationing in Florida we spent several days at Daytona Beach.
Our accommodations were beach front on the 7th floor of the hotel we were staying at.
From the balcony I was able to get a bird's eye view of all that was going on down below.
By 3PM the sun was in a position that cast a shadow of everything that passed by.
Taking pictures of shadows from this vantagepoint, high above the ground, produced some vivid shadows that I would like to share with you.
The smooth sand made a prefect canvas.
One of the very cool things about Daytona Beach is that motor vehicles are allowed on the beach.
Golf carts as well as cars, trucks, motorcycles, and emergency vehicles paraded past us every minute or so.
The speed limit on the beach is 10 MPH and that allowed me to take pictures that were sharp rather than blurry.
This dude was hooked up to the nines. After getting all set up, he only stayed on the beach for less than a half of an hour. All of that gear for such a short amount of time spent on the beach, go figure.
As the sun got lower and lower in the sky, the high-rises that line the shoreline blocked out the sun and the shadows as well.
Thanks to @melinda010100 we all have a place to share our shadows. If you are so inclined to join in on the fun, just click on the link below.
