Hola, amigos de Literatos. Hoy quiero compartir este cuento con ustedes y mis criterios también. Se trata de Juguete nuevo, del escritor tunero Alfredo Delgado Pérez, el cual está recogido en la compilación de narrativa infantil, Mucho cuento.
Ares es un niño que espera ansioso a su papá, que ha salido de la ciudad a impartir una conferencia sobre la paz y le ha prometido que a su regreso, le traerá un juguete nuevo.
Se pasea intranquilo de un lado a otro del portal, donde se escucha el alegre canto de un sinsonte y se hace miles de preguntas sobre o que sería este juguete e imagina su llegada, con su guayabera llena de lapiceros y papeles, como siempre. Es un niño, y como todo niño es ingenuo y quiere que sus expectativas sean cumplidas.
Y finalmente llega, lo recibe con una gran exclamación y corre a su encuentro muy agitado, lo abraza y su papá a él con gran emoción y se dan muchos besos. Es entonces cuando comienza a sacar de su maleta una cajita gris alargada, la que Ares abre con entusiasmo y desesperación. Cuando pasan varios minutos lo abre y entonces, de repente, ya no se escucha el canto del sinsonte que cantaba en el gran árbol cerca del portal, y se ve al niño bajo el espeso flamboyán jugar a la guerra con su juguete nuevo.
Mis reflexiones
Este cuento es una completa paradoja entre el trabajo del padre, la impartición de una conferencia sobre la paz y la acción que acomete, al traerle de regalo un arma plástica de juguete a su hijo, para que juegue a la guerra; lo que causa una inmensa impresión de que los seres humanos no sabemos en realidad quiénes somos.
Es un tema, el de las guerras, que ha oprimido muchos corazones y han dejado desoladas almas, vidas, tierras y personas, por tanto nada más alejado que pensar que la humanidad está de acuerdo con ellas.
Pero claro, e ahí donde Alfredo desea llegar, para que acojamos en nuestros pensamientos, miles de ideas de una realidad que se siente fea y reprochable. Esta historia nos mueve los espacios, hacia un contexto que afecta la salud y el espíritu humano.

My Reflections
This story is a complete paradox between the father's work, giving a lecture on peace, and the action he undertakes by bringing his son a plastic toy gun as a gift, so he can play war; this creates a profound impression that we human beings don't really know who we are.
It's a theme, that of war, that has oppressed many hearts and left souls, lives, lands, and people devastated; therefore, nothing could be further from the truth than to think that humanity agrees with them. But of course, that's where Alfredo wants to go, so that we may welcome into our thoughts thousands of ideas about a reality that feels ugly and reprehensible. This story moves us through the spaces, toward a context that affects health and the human spirit.
