As always, it's a pleasure to be able to come through this medium to talk to you, this time about those clichés that I don't love, but that cough... hahaha. Honestly, I respect them if they are well justified within the plot, but at this point in my life I don't find them so surprising or exciting anymore.
¡Estoy embarazada!/I am pregnant!
Este cliché suele sentirse un poco rebuscado dentro de la trama, aunque entiendo que puede generar suspenso. Lo importante, para mí, es que haya una razón de peso detrás de este giro argumental, sobre todo si no conduce a un final feliz, sino a más conflicto. Por ejemplo, cuando uno de los protagonistas tiene un hijo con otra persona y esto irrumpe en la historia romántica... ahí es cuando no me convence. Me cuesta empatizar si todo se vuelve drama innecesario o que afecta para mal el protagonista.

Infidelidad/Infidelity
Aquí tengo sentimientos encontrados. No puedo romantizar una infidelidad bajo ninguna circunstancia. A veces se usa como recurso para mostrar que los personajes son humanos y cometen errores (y no lo estoy justificando), pero mi problema es cuando la protagonista simplemente perdona sin que haya un proceso real, sin reflexión ni consecuencias. Eso me saca de la historia por completo.
I have mixed feelings here. I can't romanticize infidelity under any circumstances. Sometimes it's used as a device to show that characters are human and make mistakes (and I'm not justifying it), but my problem is when the protagonist simply forgives without any real process, reflection, or consequences. That takes me out of the story completely.
De amigos a Amantes/Friends to lovers
Este no tiene mucha justificación lógica, lo admito jajajaja. Pero, personalmente, siento que la tensión emocional que hay en un enemies to lovers no está presente en el friends to lovers. Muchas veces va demasiado lento y me aburre. A mí me gustan las historias con chispa, con soltura, con momentos intensos. Así que si no hay esa tensión desde el principio, pierdo el interés. Sé que esto es algo muy personal (y probablemente una red flag de mi parte jaja), pero no me engancha.
This one doesn't have much logical justification, I admit hahahaha. But, personally, I feel like the emotional tension that's in an enemies to lovers isn't present in friends to lovers. It often goes too slow and bores me. I like stories with sparkle, with looseness, with intense moments. So if there isn't that tension from the beginning, I lose interest. I know this is a very personal thing (and probably a red flag on my part haha), but it just doesn't hook me.
Estos son algunos clichés que soporto cuando están bien hechos, pero definitivamente no son mis favoritos. ¿Y ustedes? ¿Cuáles son esos clichés que ya no pueden ver más en las historias, o los que aman a pesar de todo?
These are some clichés that I can stand when they are well done, but they are definitely not my favorites. What about you? What are those clichés that you can't see anymore in stories, or the ones you love regardless?
