La primera vez que leí los libros de Harry Potter era una niña de apenas 7 años. Ésta saga se mantiene en un lugar muy especial cuando hablamos de mi infancia. Desde que los leí aquello primera vez no toqué más nunca los libros, quedaron el recuerdo.
Y aunque me considero una potterhead de corazón, si que habían muchísimas cosas que había olvidado por el paso de los años. Es por ello que decidí leerlos nuevamente (aprovechando que tengo la Kindle en mis manos). Así que organice un horario para leerlo todas las noches antes de irme a dormir.
The first time I read the Harry Potter books I was a mere 7 year old girl. This saga holds a very special place when we talk about my childhood. Since I read them that first time I never touched the books again, the memory remained.
And although I consider myself a Potterhead at heart, there were many things that I had forgotten over the years. That's why I decided to read them again (taking advantage that I have the Kindle in my hands). So I organized a schedule to read it every night before going to sleep.
Había muchísimas cosas del libro que no recordaba (especialmente porque contrastaba mucho la historia con las películas, que si las veo más seguido). Evidentemente hoy pienso muy distinto a cómo pensaba cuando tenía 7 años, pero algo que si debo de reconocer con respecto a éste libro es que la misma sensación mágica que sentía cuando era una niña, la sentí durante estos días.
J.K. Rowling tiene una manera de transmitir esa magia de una forma tan especial, que no pude evitar sentirme llena de nostalgia por cada vez que leía una nueva página.
There were so many things from the book that I didn't remember (especially because I contrasted the story so much with the movies, which I do watch more often). Obviously I think very differently today than I did when I was 7 years old, but one thing I must admit about this book is that the same magical feeling I felt when I was a child, I felt during these days.
J.K. Rowling has a way of transmitting that magic in such a special way, that I couldn't help feeling full of nostalgia every time I read a new page.
La lectura es ligera, fresca, puedes terminarte el libro en una sola sentada si así lo prefieres. Aunque si me hubiese gustado que existiese un poco más de profundidad en los escenarios y en algunos personajes en sí mismo (aunque sé que conforme avance con la saga lo conseguiré) siento que éste libro se mantiene muy superficial en comparación con los otros. Digamos que ese es el único detalle que no me permite darle las cinco estrellas por completo.
Eso sí, es un libro divertido y bastante movido, logras moverte rápido con la historia. Y creo que todos podemos coincidir en lo irresponsable que ha sido siempre Dumbledore con el chico, no puedo evitar decirlo jajaja.
Además, siempre me ha gustado el excelente trío que hacen Ron, Hermione y Harry, es una mezcla de personalidades que compaginan entre sí y bailan perfectamente con toda la historia.
The reading is light, fresh, you can finish the book in one sitting if you prefer. Although I would have liked a little more depth in the settings and some of the characters themselves (although I know that as the saga progresses I will get it) I feel that this book remains very shallow compared to the others. Let's just say that's the only detail that doesn't allow me to give it the full five stars.
That said, it's a fun book and quite moving, you get to move fast with the story. And I think we can all agree on how irresponsible Dumbledore has always been with the boy, I can't help but say it hahaha.
Besides, I've always liked the excellent trio that Ron, Hermione and Harry make, it's a mix of personalities that match each other and dance perfectly with the whole story.
A mi parecer, estos libros han envejecido muy bien y han logrado perdurar con el paso de los años. Así que por ésta ocasión mi querida J.K. Rowling, le pondré 4 estrellas a ésta lectura (aunque mi niña interior sigue dándole un 20/20).

In my opinion, these books have aged very well and have managed to endure over the years. So for this one, my dear J.K. Rowling, I will give this one 4 stars (although my inner child still gives it a 20/20).
