¡Hola comunidad! Hoy les vengo a hablar de la adaptación de una saga de libros juveniles escritos por Marissa Meyer: Las crónicas lunares.
El pasado miércoles 26 de enero de 2022 se dio a conocer la noticia de que la saga de Las crónicas lunares va a ser adaptada por un estudio de animación llamado Locksmith Animation, que fue creado en el 2014 por Sarah Smith y Julie Lockhart y tiene su sede en Londres.
La misma autora de los libros dio a conocer la noticia en sus redes sociales.

Contexto de los libros
Las crónicas lunares son lo que se llama retelling, historias que ya conocemos, contadas de una forma diferente, pero tratando de mantener la esencia principal de cada historia. Esta saga está compuesta de 6 libros, 4 principales y 2 historias cortas. Todos tienen protagonistas diferentes pero no son independientes entre sí, sino que continúan una misma historia.
El primer libro se llama Cinder y trata de la historia de la Cenicienta versión cibernética. Cinder es una joven humana que debido a un accidente en su niñez tuvieron que reconstruirle el cuerpo con partes de androide.
Context of the books
The Lunar Chronicles are what is called retelling, stories that we already know, told in a different way, but trying to maintain the main essence of each story. This series is composed of 6 books, 4 main and 2 short stories. They all have different protagonists but they are not independent from each other, but continue the same story.
The first book is called Cinder and deals with the story of the cyber version of Cinderella. Cinder is a young human who, due to an accident in her childhood, had to rebuild her body with android parts.

Le sigue Fairest, una mini historia de la reina Levana, la villana de la saga. Acá nos cuentan porqué se convirtió en este ser despiadado. ¿Habrá sido siempre así o no?

Aunque no es realmente el último porque para cerrar tenemos Stars Above, donde nos van a contar a través de mini historias de los protagonistas detalles que nos hemos perdido y como continuaron sus vidas después del último libro.

Además también hay 2 novelas gráficas independientes, pero enriquecedoras para los amantes de este mundo, y la protagonista es nada más ni nada menos que Iko, una androide de pura cepa que vamos a querer mucho durante el transcurso de la saga.

Mi opinión sobre la adaptación
Esta noticia es más que bienvenida tanto por los fanáticos de esta historia como por mí porque pienso que al ser una adaptación animada las posibilidades son infinitas.
Siento que se puede adaptar mucho mejor que si fuera interpretada por personas de carne y hueso.
Obviamente este es solo el principio y se sabe que todo lleva su tiempo y los proyectos pueden no prosperar o tardar años en ver la luz. Pero realmente espero que pueda concretarse, sería interesante de ver.
Los seguiré manteniendo al tanto de cualquier novedad que haya al respecto.
Y por supuesto, los invito a leer esta magnífica saga.

My opinion on adaptation
This news is more than welcome both for the fans of this story and for me because I think that being an animated adaptation the possibilities are endless.
I feel like it can be adapted much better than if it were played by flesh and bone people.
Obviously this is just the beginning and it is known that everything takes time and projects may not prosper or take years to see the light. But I really hope it can come to fruition, it would be interesting to see.
