¡Hola amigos lectores! Hoy les traigo mi participación al nuevo concurso de nuestra comunidad de libros favorita, Hive Book Club. La iniciativa consiste en escribir que haríamos si conociéramos a nuestro personaje ficticio favorito.
Hello fellow readers! Today I bring you my participation to the new contest of our favorite book community, Hive Book Club. The initiative consists of writing what we would do if we met our favorite fictional character.
Fue difícil escoger entre todos los que me gustan, pero al final me terminé decantando por Isabelle Lightwood de la saga de libros de Cazadores de Sombras.
It was hard to choose between all the ones I like, but in the end I ended up going for Isabelle Lightwood from the Shadowhunters book serie.

Siempre admiré el personaje de Isabelle, más conocida como Izzy, por ser de carácter fuerte y no titubear a la hora de enfrentarse a sus enemigos. Pero sí titubeó a la hora de enamorarse, ya que Izzy tiene problemas de confianza producto de un matrimonio fallido entre sus padres, pero no se preocupen que al final si termina entregando su corazón.
I always admired the character of Isabelle, better known as Izzy, for being a strong character and not hesitating when facing her enemies. But she did hesitate when it came to falling in love, as Izzy has trust issues stemming from a failed marriage between her parents, but don't worry, she does end up giving her heart.
Isabelle es ese personaje que trata de ser fuerte por su familia, es la que se calza al hombro las responsabilidades y trata de cuidar a los suyos con todo su ser. Se pone una armadura como si nada le importara pero en el fondo tiene un gran corazón que solo necesita que la cuiden a ella también. Sin embargo, odia verse débil.
Isabelle is that character who tries to be strong for her family, she is the one who shoulders her responsibilities and tries to take care of her family with all her being. She puts on a suit of armor as if nothing matters to her but deep down she has a big heart that just needs to be taken care of too. However, she hates to look weak.

Es un personaje con el que me suelo identificar mucho por todo lo mencionado. Si la conociera me gustaría ser su amiga y decirle cuánto la admiro, pero también le diría que se cuide más a ella misma que así también va a ayudar a los suyos. Creo que hablaría con ella como si fuera yo misma y me daría estos consejos de que no sea tan dura consigo misma. Izzy es pésima cocinera, al igual que yo, aunque a mí de tanto en tanto me sale algo bien, podríamos practicar cocinar juntas. También me encantaría que me enseñara a usar el látigo que tiene y algún que otro movimiento defensivo para incapacitar demonios o maleantes 🤭.
She is a character that I tend to identify with a lot for all of the above. If I met her I would want to be her friend and tell her how much I admire her, but I would also tell her to take better care of herself so she can help her own. I think I would talk to her as if she were me and give me this advice to not be so hard on herself. Izzy is a lousy cook, as am I, although I do get something right from time to time, we could practice cooking together. I would also love for her to teach me how to use the whip she has and some other defensive moves to incapacitate demons or bad guys 🤭.
Ella es muy sarcástica y la considero un personaje divertido y directo. Así que diversión no nos faltaría. También es temeraria, pero yo no, así que intentaría que haga cosas para relajarse, quizá meditación o yoga. Tal vez la ayude a liberar su mente. Le enseñaría canciones de Taylor Swift, creo que amaría el tema The Man, es muy de ese estilo.
She is very sarcastic and I consider her a fun and straightforward character. So we would have no shortage of fun. She's also reckless, but I'm not, so I would try to get her to do things to relax, maybe meditation or yoga. Maybe it would help her free her mind. I would teach her Taylor Swift songs, I think she would love the song The Man, it's very much in that style.

Me gustaría que me invite a conocer el mundo de las sombras y que me dé un paseo por la motocicleta voladora. Aunque lo más importante sería que sepa que puede tener una amiga humana que le muestre otro mundo y viceversa.
I would like him to invite me to know the world of shadows and give me a ride on the flying motorcycle. Although the most important thing would be for him to know that he can have a human friend to show him another world and vice versa.
