The name of my book is Until the End of Time This book is written by Brian Greene and this book was published in February 18, 2020. You can read this book if you want. I hope you will like today's post.
Book Story
Until the End of Time by Brian Greene should not be called merely a science fiction book it is an extended trip in time the universe life consciousness and even death. The author brings us a kind of epic sized trip in which he explains to us how we have ended up in the universe why we think dream love believe into religion and someday we are going to lose everything but somewhere it is very beautiful. This story starts with the Big Bang that is the explosion of time and space out of a point that is so small and its time is 13.8 billion years ago. Next there are particles energy gravity and they are created one after another. Now in this world galaxies stars planets come into being and at last it is a form of life that gives birth on a planet a form of micro life. Greene terms this transformation as a miraculous stroke of fortune.
In the central part of the book the author describes the process of life formation based on the pure chemical reactions and the way organisms are getting complicated due to progressive evolution. This development reaches the epitome of baking the humans who live not only to survive but can even contemplate the existence of human being the prospects of his future and the universe. Human beings are the only living beings which know time consider death love and think creatively. Greene reveals how it is this consciousness that has spawned our religion art literature philosophy everything. The development of religion was due to our reason that we needed to deny death. The invention of poetry music and painting was as a result of our desire to document moments.
As we go to the last section of the book Greene states that our life is ephemeral and so one day the universe will also cease to exist. Stars will fade and all the energy will come to an end one day or even time and space will meet its death. And even here in an inevitable end the author sees beauty. According to him it is within this momentary existence that we feel love and create it is that is great. The author believes that we are not any machine consisting of particles. We are in a narrative and that narrative reaches back to the beginning of time and forward to the end of time. There is science fancy feeling and unexplicable beauty in this story.
My Explanation
In his book Until the End of Time Brian Greene explains in detail the final destiny of our universe life consciousness and death. He is a philosophical individual thinker as well as a theoretical physicist who unifies profound questions of science, religion, art and human existence. This book is mostly done to find answers to the following questions. where are we where did we come from and why did we come here. The book is somewhat organized by three levels namely the birth of the universe the evolution of life, the emergence and the destiny of consciousness. To give a beginning to our world Greene begins with the Big Bang. Next he talks about the laws of matter energy and flow of time he says are fundamental laws. He demonstrates the way this complicated science gave birth to the life and contributed to the birth of human consciousness. He delves deep to understand the biological development of life which include the evolution of human thought art religion and language.
The book makes a bid to balance the issue of religion and science. Even though Greene himself is an atheist, he does not reject the role of the significance of religious beliefs and art and literature. Instead, he states that human culture and beliefs do have a historic role and contributed to molding our consciousness. Discussion of the human consciousness is the most thought-provoking part of the book. The question Greene presents is that, why are we conscious? What do we imagine under being an I? Besides being able to get answers to these questions, he also discusses the future what which day all things will come to an end including the universe itself. He urges people to be able to understand this imminent death rather than being scared by it.The novel is wonderfully written. Even the complex area is given in a simple and in a story form. Greene can reach to their hearts and by mixing the philosophical and humanistic views with the hard theories of physics. His quest to tie the history of the time, space, life, and consciousness in a single thread is quite unique. Nevertheless, the book is too deep and difficult at some points to some readers whereas those who did not read science or philosophy are not the readers. Also, religious individuals are likely to find some of the stands of the author controversial.
