The Maze Runner by James Dashner / Maze Runner: Correr o Morir de James Dashner
This book was one of the first books I read, and I confess that thanks to these books, which hooked me a lot, I became a fan of literary sagas and began to collect them. It is filled with a lot of adventure and action from start to finish, it tells us the story of Thomas and the inhabitants of the Area, a place surrounded by dangerous mazes inhabited by creatures called "penitents". Before each boy enters the area, he loses all his memories since the scientists of an organization called C.R.U.E.L. he sends them to live there to experiment on them. Initially this camp is only inhabited by men but then we see the first and only woman they have ever sent arrive with a message. Thomas's days turn into a nightmare when everyone decides to leave the maze and face the dangerous creatures, but if someone stings or bites someone, that someone will become sick and turn into something similar to a zombie almost instantly.
Este libro fue de los primeros libros que leí, y confieso que gracias a estos libros que me engancharon bastante me hice fan de las sagas literarias y empecé a coleccionarlas. Está llena de mucha aventura y acción de principio a fin, nos cuenta la historia de Thomas y los habitantes del Área, un lugar rodeado por peligrosos laberintos habitados por unas criaturs llamadas "penitentes". Cada chico antes de entrar al área, pierde todos sus recuerdos ya que los científicos de una organización llamada C.R.U.E.L. los envía a vivir allí para experimentar con ellos. Inicialmente este campamento está únicamente habitado por hombres pero luego, vemos llegar a la primera y única mujer que alguna vez han enviado y la cual, llega con un mensaje. Los días de Thomas se vuelven una pesadilla cuando todos deciden abandonar el laberinto y anfrentar a las peligrosas criaturas pero, si alguno pica o muerde a alguien, ese alguién enfermará y se convertirá en algo parecido a un zombie casi instantáneamente.
As I said before, this psychological thriller is really addictive from beginning to end, narrated from the point of view of Thomas who is the main protagonist. It is an easy book to read and not very long, it also has 2 sequels and 3 extra books which must be read almost immediately one after the other since every time I finished one I was left wanting more so when I bought them, I remember that he was going to look for them with a day in between. The story is pretty good and the narrative is excellent. As the story progresses, it gets even more interesting. The main trilogy also has its film adaptations, which if you see them after reading the books, you may not like them so much, but they are still very good stories.
Como dije antes, este thriller psicológico es realmente adictivo de principio a fin, narrado desde el punto de vista de Thomas el cual es el protagonista principal. Es un libro fácil de leer y no muy largo, también cuenta con 2 secuelas y 3 libros extras los cuales hay que leerlos casi que inmediato uno tras otro ya que cada vez que terminaba uno quedaba conganas de más por lo que cuando los compré, recuerdo que iba a buscarlos con un día de por medio. La historia es bastante buena y la narrativa es excelente. A medida que va avanzando la historia, se va poniendo más interesante todavía. La trilogía principal también cuenta con sus adaptaciones cinematográficas las cuales si las ves luego de leer los libros quizás no te gusten tanto pero, igual son historias muy buenas.

This book was another of the first ones I read once I started collecting books, also quite addictive. It tells us about Beatrice, a 16-year-old girl who, in a world that is about to become extinct due to horrendous wars, has a difficult decision to make and every adolescent must choose when they turn 16 whether to stay on the same side as their parents or someone else, but if they choose another side they will never be able to see their family again. There are 3 sides that make up the war, Truth, Abnegation, and Dauntless.
Este libro fué otro de los primeros que leí una vez empecé a coleccionar libros, también bastante adictivo. Nos habla de Beatrice, una chica de 16 años que en un mundo que está a punto de extinguirse a causa de horrendas guerras, tiene una díficil decisión que tomar ya cada adolescente debe elegir cuando cumple los 16 años si quedarse en el mismo bando de sus padres o algún otro pero, si escoge otro bando no podrán ver mas nunca a su familia. Son 3 los bandos que conforman la guerra, Verdad, Abnegación, y Osadía.
Suzanne really hit the mark with this great story as it not only hooks you but also leaves you wanting more. That's how it happened to me when I got the first book but once I read it I had to buy the other 2 parts together , since I really liked it a lot. The story is very well narrated and the evolution of the characters as the story progresses is excellent. I became interested in this story because I saw the first movie and I found it really funny and engaging, I confess that both in the book and in the movie I would have liked some characters not to have had to die, but that's how the Hunger Games are hahaha and I I say that it is not that far from reality since in several countries a kind of hunger games are being played due to the crisis they are going through. I would like to recommend this masterpiece to everyone, it has 2 more parts and it is a great trilogy.

The first book was the fourth that I bought when I was putting together my own library, the story, although it portrays the war at its best, is quite engaging, so just as it happened to me with the other 2, I also bought the sequels together but I remember that getting them was quite difficult. The author's narrative is very good and engaging, as well as the evolution of each of the characters, since this story is excellent, it was not surprising that they also took it to the movies, and I think that although it also has many differences with the books In the movie, the story was very well told and the work of the actors did it even better, although in my opinion the stories in the books are better since sometimes they are more complete and more interesting, so they are easier to engage.
El primer libro fué el cuarto que compre cuando estaba armando mi propia biblioteca, la historia aunque retrata la guerra en su máxima expresión es bastante enganchante por lo que así como me pasó con las otras 2, también compré las secuelas juntas pero recuerdo que conseguirlas fué bastante difícil. La narrativa de la autora es muy buena y enganchante, así como la evolución de cada uno de los personajes, ya que esta historia es excelente no era de extrañarse que también la llevaran al cine, y creo que aunque también tiene muchas diferencias con los libros, en la pelícla la historia fué muy buen contada y el trabajo de los actores la hicieron aún mejor, aunque en mi opinión mejores son las historias de los libros ya que a veces son mas completas y más interesantes por lo que son más fáciles de enganchar.
When I began to cultivate the habit of reading in myself, I remember that I was more interested in trilogies and it was what I was looking to buy the most, even if it was little by little. I remember spending hours and hours reading and I had the opportunity to enjoy them more than once. Although most of the people I know don't like great stories, I'm not ashamed to say that I do and these 3 that I shared with you today are the ones that I have always liked the most and the ones that I have the most affection for. If you haven't had a chance to read any of these stories yet, I recommend them to you, I hope you like them as much as I do.
Cuando comencé a cultivar en mí el hábito de la lectura, recuerdo que estaba más interesada en las trilogías y era lo que más buscaba comprar así fuese poco a poco. Recuerdo que pasaba horas y horas leyendo y tuve la oportunidad de disfrutarlos más de una vez. Aunque la mayoría de la gente que conozco no les gusta grandes historias, no me da pena decir que a mi sí y estas 3 que les compartí hoy, son las que siempre más me han gustado y las que más cariño les tengo. Si todavía no han tenido chance de leer alguna de estas historias se las recomiendo, lespero que les gusten tanto como a mí.
