Hello everyone! Dear reading community... I hope you are doing well today. This time I want to share with you a new review of an interesting novel, a friend recommended it to me and since I'm a fan of romantic stories I decided to give it a try. The book is called Ugly Love, written by Colleen Hoover... I found this story to be an emotional roller coaster. It is a contemporary love story that follows Tate Collins, a 23 year old nurse who moves in with her pilot brother while studying for her master's degree. Her life comes full circle when she meets Miles, a mysterious and very attractive pilot friend of her brother's.
From their first meeting, the tension between Tate and Miles is keenly felt. As their paths cross more frequently, the attraction between them grows much stronger. However, Miles makes it clear to her that he cannot offer her a traditional relationship. He lays down some strange rules, but apparently they're non-negotiable... The first is my asking about her past... and the second is not expecting a future together. So they begin a purely physical relationship.... The author manages to alternate skillfully between the present, telling us Tate's perspective, and also little by little we are introduced to Miles' past, revealing the events that led him to become so closed to love. This narrative managed to keep me hooked, I was curious about this man's secrets and how this will affect his relationship with Tate. There is chemistry between the main characters, and the intimate scenes are written with classic sensuality and emotion.... Although this story goes beyond a simple erotic story of lovers.
Hola a todos! Querida comunidad lectura.. espero que se encuentren muy bien el dÃa de hoy. Está vez quiero compartirles una nueva reseña, de una novela interesante, me la recomendó una amiga y pues como soy fanático de las historias románticas decidà darle una oportunidad. El libro se llama Ugly Love, escrito por Colleen Hoover.. está historia me pareció una montaña rusa emocional. Es una historia de amor contemporánea que sigue a Tate Collins, una enfermera de 23 años que se muda con su hermano piloto mientras estudia su maestrÃa. Su vida da un giro completo cuando ella conoce a Miles, un misterioso y muy atractivo amigo piloto de su hermano.
Desde su primer encuentro, la tensión entre Tate y Miles se siente mucho. A medida que sus caminos se van cruzando de manera más frecuente, la atracción entre ellos crece mucho más.. Sin embargo, Miles le deja claro que no puede ofrecerle una relación tradicional. Le plantea unas reglas algo raras, pero al parecer no son negociables.. La primera es mi preguntar por su pasado.. y la segunda es no esperar un futuro juntos. Por lo que comienzan una relación puramente fÃsica.. La autora logra alternar hábilmente entre el presente, contándonos la perspectiva de Tate, y también poco a poco nos presentan el pasado de Miles, revelando los eventos que lo llevaron a cerrarse tanto al amor. Esta narrativa me logró mantener enganchado, tuve curiosidad por los secretos de este hombre y como esto le afectara en la relación con Tate. Existe quÃmica entre los protagonistas, y las escenas Ãntimas están escritas con la clásica sensualidad y emoción.. Aunque esta historia va más allá de una simple historia erótica de amantes.
Deep themes such as grief, loss, and forgiveness are also explored. Tate is a character that is easy to identify with, his internal struggle between wanting to keep things casual, but also be something more. For his part, Miles is complex and tormented...he has a mysterious past and his refusal to open up emotionally makes him frustrating at times, but also intriguing. Secondary characters, such as Tate's brother or neighbor Cap, add depth and some perspective to the story. The conversations between Tate and Cap are particularly memorable, offering plenty of humor and wisdom that balance the emotional intensity to the overall plot of the story.
The prose presented is fluid, with natural dialogue, and detailed descriptions that transport you into the story, as if you were there...the complexity of emotions are captured well and there are moments in the book that will take your breath away. As the story progresses, the tension builds quite a bit...you will see Miles battle with his inner demons, and they will search for a way to both overcome the obstacles that are presented to them. The climax is chaotic, taking the main characters and us readers through difficult but necessary moments.
También se exploran temas profundos como el dolor, la pérdida, y el perdón. Tate es un personaje con el que es fácil identificarse, su lucha interna entre querer mantener las cosas casuales, pero también ser algo más. Por su parte, Miles es complejo y atormentado.. tiene un pasado misterioso y su negativa a abrirse emocionalmente lo hacen algo frustrante a veces, pero también intrigante. Los personajes secundarios, como el hermano de Tate o el vecino Cap, añaden profundidad y cierta perspectiva a la historia. Las conversaciones entre Tate y Cap son particularmente memorables, ofreciendo mucho humor y sabidurÃa que equilibran la intensidad emocional a la trama general de la historia.
La prosa que se presenta es fluida, con diálogos naturales, y descripciones detalladas que te transportan a la historia, como si estuvieras ahÃ.. se capturan de buena manera la complejidad de las emociones y hay momentos en el libro que te dejarán sin aliento. Mientras la historia avanza, la tensión aumenta bastante.. verás a Miles batallar con sus demonios internos, y buscarán una manera de ambos superar los obstáculos que se les presentan. El clÃmax es caótico, lleva a los protagonistas y a nosotros los lectores a través de momentos difÃciles pero necesarios.
This story caused many emotions, there were moments where there were decisions that stressed me, but also moments where I felt sorry for them. The way the "ugly side" of love is exploited, all the pain, the vulnerability is raw and honest. Always keeping that sense of suspense with the past...the evolution of the characters feels natural, especially Miles. It's not an easy read, as I was saying.... There are moments that will make you cry and others that will frustrate you, but that doesn't make it any less worthwhile.
It's a touching story about the healing power of love and the courage it takes to look back and open your heart after much pain. It will surely make you reflect on your own experiences and beliefs about love. I give it a rating of 4/5. Fans of contemporary romance will surely like it, it's a story with a good emotional charge. Está historia le causo muchas emociones, hubo momentos en los que hubo decisiones que me estresaban, pero también momentos donde sentà pena por ellos. La forma en la que se explota el "lado feo" del amor, todo el dolor, la vulnerabilidad es cruda y honesta. Siempre manteniendo esa sensación de suspenso con el pasado.. la evolución de los personajes se siente natural, especialmente la de Miles. No es una lectura fácil, como les decÃa.. Hay momentos que te harán llorar y otros que te frustrarán, pero no por eso deja de valer la pena.
Es una historia conmovedora sobre el poder sanador del amor y la valentÃa que se necesita para volver a ver a abrir el corazón luego de mucho dolor.. Seguramente los hará reflexionar sobre sus propias experiencias y creencias sobre el amor. Le doy una calificación de 4/5. Seguramente a los fanáticos del romance contemporáneo les agradará, es una historia con una buena carga emocional. Y bueno, espero que les haya gustado está reseña, nos veremos en la próxima!
