Hello to all reading lovers. In this video I want to share with you my opinions about a book that I find quite interesting... it is Rich Dad, Poor Dad, by Robert Kiyosaki. This is one of the books that can be very well known.... I had heard of it quite a bit, but had not read it. After having immersed myself in its pages, I can say that I understand why this book has become one of those classic references in the world of personal finance, the author tells us his personal story with two unique and completely different perspectives on money and wealth.... On the one hand, he shows us the more traditional approach of his biological father, a man with studies and a good position, but who never managed to achieve true wealth.

And on the other hand, he tells us the teachings of his best friend's father, a man with no formal studies, but with a deep knowledge on how to generate and grow the money he had... through this narrative, he introduces us to some basic fundamental concepts of what would be financial education, which unfortunately are not taught in most educational systems... this is something that is totally true, since at least in Venezuela, the country where I live, there is almost no talk about how to take care of your money and above all to achieve to generate even more money. And I think it is something indispensable, even more than other subjects that are very much part of the current educational system and do not end up being of much use...

Hola a todos amantes de la lectura. En este video les quiero compartir mis opiniones sobre un libro que me parece bastante interesante.. se trata de Padre Rico, Padre Pobre, de Robert Kiyosaki. Este es uno de los libros que pueden ser muy conocidos.. Yo lo había oído bastante, pero no lo había leído. Después de haberme sumergido en sus páginas, puedo decir que entiendo por qué este libro se ha convertido en uno de esos referentes tan clásicos en el mundo de las finanzas personales, el autor nos cuenta su historia personal con dos perspectivas únicas y completamente diferentes sobre el dinero y la riqueza.. Por un lado, nos muestra el enfoque más tradicional de su padre biológico, un hombre con estudios y una buena posición, pero que nunca logró alcanzar la verdadera riqueza.

Y por el otro lado, nos cuenta las enseñanzas del padre de su mejor amigo, un hombre sin estudios formales, pero con un profundo conocimiento sobre cómo generar y hacer crecer el dinero que poseía.. a través de esta narrativa, nos introduce a algunos conceptos fundamentales básicos de lo que sería la educación financiera, que lamentablemente no se enseñan en la mayoría de los sistemas educativos.. esto es algo que es totalmente cierto, ya que por lo menos en Venezuela, el país donde vivo, casi no se habla de cómo hacer para cuidar tu dinero y sobre todo para lograr generar aún más dinero. Y creo que es algo indispensable, incluso más que otras asignaturas que de por sí están muy metidas en el sistema educativo actual y que no terminan sirviendo de mucho..

The author Kiyosaki, makes a lot of emphasis on all the importance of understanding the differences between assets and liabilities, and how we should focus all our efforts on acquiring assets that generate good income, instead of accumulating liabilities such as a house of our own, which if it is a quite precious asset, actually behaves more like something else... One of the key points that struck me most about this book is Kiyosaki's critique of the safe job and golden retirement, according to him, this model is completely outdated and in reality, I believe it keeps us in an endless race, working our asses off to enrich others rather than ourselves... the whole narrative he shares with us encourages us to manufacture our own financial education, take certain calculated risks and build our own sources of passive income..

While I understand and share many of the ideas put forward by the author, I must admit that at times I found his approaches a bit extreme and rather simplistic. I don't think it is at all impossible to achieve wealth through a conventional job, as long as some income is supplemented with proper management and, of course, the kind of wealth you are familiar with or want to aspire to... I recognize that the message he is trying to convey in a general way about taking more control of our finances and simply not relying solely on one job is quite fundamental in these times of job uncertainty. He is right in some key aspects and I think I identify myself with the situations he expresses due to the economic adversities that my country has presented...

El autor Kiyosaki, hace mucho hincapié en toda la importancia de comprender las diferencias entre activos y pasivos, y cómo debemos enfocar todos nuestros esfuerzos en la adquisición de activos que generen buenos ingresos, en lugar de acumular pasivos como una casa propia, que si es un bien bastante preciado, en realidad se comporta más como algo diferente.. Uno de los puntos clave que más me impactó de este libro es la crítica de Kiyosaki del trabajo seguro y la jubilación dorada, según él, este modelo está completamente desfasado y, en realidad, creo que nos mantiene en una carrera interminable, trabajando como burros para enriquecer a otros en lugar de a nosotros mismos.. toda la narrativa que nos comparte nos anima a fabricar nuestra propia educación financiera, a asumir ciertos riesgos calculados y a construir nuestras propias fuentes de ingresos pasivos..

Si bien entiendo y comparto muchas de las ideas expuestas por el autor, debo admitir que en algunos momentos me pareció que sus planteamientos eran un poco extremistas y bastante simplistas. No creo que sea de todo imposible alcanzar la riqueza a través de un trabajo convencional, siempre y cuando se complementen algunos ingresos con una adecuada gestión y, por supuesto, del tipo de riqueza al que tú estés familiarizado o al que tú quieras aspirar.. Reconozco que el mensaje que intenta transmitir de manera general sobre cómo asumir más nuestro control sobre nuestras finanzas y simplemente dejar de depender únicamente de un solo empleo es bastante fundamental en estos tiempos de incertidumbre laboral. Tiene razón en algunos aspectos claves y creo que me identifico bastante con las situaciones que expresa por las adversidades económicas que ha presentado mi país..

I think this book deserves to be read especially by younger people, who are just entering the working world or have some doubts about how to manage their money themselves. I am one of those people and I feel that it did help me... I think I am at the very early stages of my financial life and this book offers a very refreshing but mostly challenging perspective on achieving much more than we think we deserve, far beyond the traditional paths. While its approaches may not fit 100% with your particular situation as it did for me, I am sure some of you will find in its pages valuable lessons that will help you rethink your relationship with money...I give this book a good 5/5 stars. It's an interesting and necessary read, as financial education is something you need to put a lot more care into. And well, I hope you liked this reference. See you in the next ones. Take care. Este libro creo que merece ser leído sobre todo por personas más jóvenes, que apenas están entrando al mundo laboral o tienen algunas dudas sobre cómo manejar su dinero en sí. Yo soy una de esas personas y siento que sí me sirvió de ayuda.. creo que yo como mucho me encuentro en las primeras etapas de mi vida financiera y este libro nos ofrece una perspectiva muy refrescante, pero sobre todo desafiante sobre alcanzar mucho más de lo que nosotros opinemos merecer, mucho más allá de los caminos tradicionales. Si bien puede que sus planteamientos no encajen al 100% con tu situación particular como me pasó a mí, estoy seguro de que algunos de ustedes encontrarán en sus páginas valiosas lecciones que les ayudarán a replantear su relación con el dinero.. yo le doy a este libro un buen 5/5 estrellas. Es una lectura interesante y necesaria, ya que la educación financiera es algo en lo que hay que ponerle mucho más cuidado. Y bueno, espero que les haya gustado esta referencia.
