Hace un tiempo, me había dicho que no iba a leer este libro, pero la verdad un día que estaba buscando una lectura bastante corta sobre lo que sea, pues decidí hacerlo y tenías razón. No sé si recuerdan, pero algún libro bastante popular en las redes sociales, llamado Powerful de la autora, Lauren Roberts. Este es un libro que se hizo muy viral, ya que tenía una historia muy en el Torres, o mejor dicho, enemigos que sean en secreto, de hecho secreto para ellos mismos, porque no lo aceptan. Que sigue la historia de una chica que es como marginada un reino, ya que es de los vulgares. Que salva un día a uno de los príncipes del reino, que de paso es quien se encarga de las ejecuciones y quien tiene unos poderes bastante buenos que no me acuerdo muy bien, cómo se llaman, pero sé que es como absorber o replicar el poder de otra persona.

A while ago, I told myself I wasn't going to read this book, but the truth is that one day I was looking for a fairly short read on whatever topic, so I decided to give it a try, and you were right. I don't know if you remember, but there was a book that was quite popular on social media called Powerful by the author Lauren Roberts. This book went viral because it had a story very much like Torres, or rather, enemies who are secret, in fact secret to themselves, because they don't accept it. It follows the story of a girl who is kind of marginalized in a kingdom because she is one of the commoners. One day, she saves one of the princes of the kingdom, who, incidentally, is in charge of executions and has some pretty good powers that I don't remember very well, but I know it's like absorbing or replicating someone else's power.

Es básicamente el mundo en donde ciertas personas, bastante reducidas, tienen poderes y los demás no, y justamente esas personas son las que gobiernan y las que tienen más lujos. Los demás básicamente tienen que sobrevivir con lo que sea y se cree que los que no tienen poderes sufren de alguna enfermedad o algo así. En esa historia la protagonista es Paedyn, ella tiene una amiga llamada Adena. En el primer libro no conocemos demasiado sobre ella, básicamente solo sabemos que es su amiga con la que ella sobrevive en el Loot y que sabe bastante de costura. Y en esta nueva historia, básicamente es lo que nos cuentan, es cómo ella consigue sobrevivir a partir de obra completamente sola, ya que antes era Pedyn quien se ha arriesgado más que todo, para salir a robar y poder tener dinero para comer básicamente. Obviamente, cuando Paedyn es seleccionado para participar en los juegos, que es algo un poquito parecido a los juegos del hambre, básicamente, Adena se queda completamente sola. Así que en un intento por robar comida, alguien la rescata, ya que la ha intentado capturar, y es así como se hace a mí de un élite que tiene habilidades especiales.

It's basically a world where certain people, a very small number, have powers and the rest don't, and it's precisely those people who rule and have the most luxuries. The rest basically have to survive on whatever they can find, and it's believed that those without powers suffer from some kind of illness or something like that. In this story, the main character is Paedyn, and she has a friend named Adena. In the first book, we don't know much about her, basically just that she is her friend with whom she survives in the Loot and that she knows quite a bit about sewing. And in this new story, basically what we are told is how she manages to survive on her own, since before it was Pedyn who took most of the risks, going out to steal so they could have money to eat. Obviously, when Paedyn is selected to participate in the games, which are a bit like the Hunger Games, Adena is left completely alone. So, in an attempt to steal food, someone rescues her, as she has tried to capture her, and that's how she becomes part of an elite group with special abilities.

Este Élite, quiere que ella se infiltre en el castillo, y también le ayuda un poco con lo que es la defensa personal. Obviamente, a pesar de los secretos, de los planes y obviamente las atracciones, ambos terminan enamorándose y obviamente van haciendo un poco de amor, en tanto caos. Pero no todo es bonito, ya que es básicamente es encarcelada y terminan lanzándola en el centro de la arena del último juego donde los competidores. Obviamente debían de matarlo. Ella muere y esto no es básicamente. Ese es el final del primer libro y no pasa nada más. No sé cual es la necesidad de mostrarnos un libro con una historia de un protagonista que no va a tener más relevancia en el resto de la historia en general, obviamente fue lo mismo, es muy importante para el élite del que ella se enamora que se llama Mark, y básicamente como que la cuide, los cuida más allá y listo pues. Pero para mí no fueron buenos personajes, siento que no fueron relevantes, simplemente son 1.5 y ya. Pues sido mejor que nos mostrará la historia de otros protagonistas, como el pasado de los príncipes, o el pasado del del papá de Paedyn o como empezó todo esto de los élites y sus habilidades, pero bien detallado. Así que no es un libro que les pueda recomendar, siento que es esto innecesario de leer y yo simplemente no tengo nada que decir, al respecto. Actualmente estoy leyendo Quicksilver y espero tenerles la reseña de ese libro para la semana que viene, nos leemos pronto!

But not everything is rosy, as she is basically imprisoned and ends up being thrown into the center of the arena of the final game where the competitors are. Obviously, they had to kill him. She dies, and that's basically it. That's the end of the first book, and nothing else happens. I don't know why we need to be shown a book with a story about a protagonist who is not going to be relevant in the rest of the story in general. Obviously, it was the same thing. It's very important for the elite guy she falls in love with, named Mark, and basically he takes care of her, takes care of them beyond that, and that's it. But for me, they weren't good characters. I feel like they weren't relevant. They're just 1.5 and that's it. It would have been better to show us the stories of other characters, such as the princes' past, or Paedyn's father's past, or how all this business with the elites and their abilities began, but in great detail. So, it's not a book I can recommend. I feel like it's unnecessary to read, and I simply have nothing to say about it.
