Hello friends, I hope you have received 2023 with a lot of joy, good vibes and above all with health, in that last aspect I am not doing very well right now as I have flu, cough and a lot of pain in my body, however that does not diminish my mood or my desire to continue reading and learning something new every day, for that reason I am particularly happy today, as I was invited to participate in this contest where I will be talking about the books I read last year 2022. Hola amigos, espero que hayan recibido el 2023 con mucha alegría, buenas vibras y sobre todo con salud, en ese último aspecto yo no ando muy bien justo ahora ya que tengo gripe, tos y mucho dolor en el cuerpo, sin embargo eso no merma para nada mi ánimo ni mis ganas de seguir leyendo y aprendiendo cada día algo nuevo, por esa razón estoy particularmente contenta hoy, ya que fui invitada a participar en este concurso donde les estaré hablando de los libros que leí el pasado año 2022. My favourite saga without a doubt is Harry Potter, but last year I had the opportunity to read the complete Maze Runner saga, and I found it more than great, super addictive, every chapter from the first book to the last has a lot of action, so it is impossible to get bored, the saga gave me hours and hours of great fun, sometimes I felt as frustrated as Tomas, the main character, other times I hated Teresa, the girl he fell in love with, I hated her for her tremendous influence but the whole plot seemed fascinating, so great, that even when I ate Teresa, the girl he fell in love with, I hated her because of her tremendous infl, the main character, other times I hated Teresa, the girl he fell in love with, I hated her for her tremendous negative influence on him, but the whole plot in general I found fascinating, so great, that even though I started reading with a bit of misgivings as science fiction is not my favourite genre, "Maze Runner" ended up being my second favourite saga.
Mi saga favorita sin lugar a dudas es Harry Potter, pero el año pasado tuve la oportunidad de leer la saga completa de Maze Runner, y me pareció más que genial, super adictiva, cada capítulo desde el primer libro hasta el último tiene muchísima acción, así que es imposible aburrirse, la saga me proporcionó horas y horas de mucha diversión, algunas veces me sentía tan frustrada como Tomas, el personaje principal, otras veces odiaba a Teresa, la chica de la cuál él se enamoró, la odiaba por su tremenda influencia negativa sobre él, pero todo la trama en general me pareció fascinante, tan grandiosa, que incluso aún y cuando comencé a leer con un poco de recelo ya que la ciencia ficción no es mi género favorito, "Maze Runner" terminó siendo mi segunda saga favorita.

Of all the saga this is the book that I like the most, I read the whole saga years ago because one of my cousins lent me the books, but I could never get them in any bookstore, they were sold out, however, last year I got this second hand copy at a garage sale and I was very happy. I love this book because it talks about repentance and forgiveness, how Eustance, a cousin of Edmun and Lucy, transforms his selfish personality into an altruistic one. This book, like all the books in this saga, is full of Christian references, with Aslan as the main leader, acting as God, as a counselor, as an advocate and spiritual guide.
De toda la saga este es el libro que más me gusta, leí la saga completa hace años porque uno de mis primos me prestó los libros, pero nunca pude conseguirlos en ninguna librería, simplemente estaban agotados, sin embargo, el año pasado conseguí este ejemplar de segunda mano en una venta de garage y me puse muy contenta. Este libro me encanta porque habla del arrepentimiento y del perdón, de como Eustance, un primo de Edmun y Lucy, transforma su personalidad egoísta en altruista, este al igual que todos los libros de esta saga está lleno de referencias cristianas, siendo Aslan el máximo líder, actuando como Dios, como consejero, como defensor y guía espiritual.
I like illustrations that help the reader to get a feel for the characters, although to be honest I keep picturing the characters as I saw them in the movies.
Me gustan las ilustraciones que ayudan al lector a darle una apariencia a los personajes, aunque para ser honesta yo no dejo de imaginarme a los personajes tal como los vi en el cine.

This precious copy was a gift from my friend @iuliapetit2711, and I was really fascinated, not only because the author is my countryman (Venezuelan) but also because it is a work that has become a reference and an icon of the Venezuelan plains, It is an open window to the labour of the countryside, but also to the various conflicts that arose between landowners, it is also a tragic and cruel story where, in my opinion, the most surprising thing we see are the metamorphoses of two characters, one for the worse and the other for the better. Doña Bárbara, due to the traumatic event when the occupants of her father's ship rebelled against him, goes from being an innocent and naïve girl to a cruel, vengeful and unjust woman, while Marisela, his only daughter, goes from being a wild and uneducated child to a well-behaved young woman.
Este precioso ejemplar fue un regalo de mi amiga @iuliapetit2711, y de verdad quedé fascinada, no solo porque el autor es mi paisano (venezolano) sino porque es una obra que se ha convertido en una referencia y un ícono de los llanos venezolanos, es una ventana abierta a la faena del campo, pero también a los diversos conflictos que surgieron entre terratenientes, es también una historia trágica y cruel donde, en mi opinión, lo más sorprendente que vemos son las metamorfósis de dos personajes, una para mal y la otra para bien. Doña Bárbara, debido a el evento traumático que tuvo cuando los ocupantes del barco de su padre se revelaron contra él, pasa de ser una niña inocente e ingenua a una mujer cruel, vengativa e injusta, mientras que Marisela, su única hija, pasa de ser una niña salvaje y sin educación, a una joven bien portada.
I like that this issue has a glossary of terms that serves to translate in some way the colloquial way that the inhabitants of the plains speak. It was very useful for me because even though, as a Venezuelan, I obviously know many terms, there were many others that I didn't know, and this helped me to understand the plot better.
Me gusta que este ejemplar cuenta con un glosario de términos que sirve para traducir de alguna manera, la forma coloquial que tienen los habitantes del llano al hablar, a mí me fue muy útil ya que aún y cuando yo, como venezolana que soy, evidentemente conozco muchos términos, hubo muchos otros que yo no conocía, y esto me ayudó a comprender mejor la trama.

One of the books I most enjoyed reading was this biography of Gabriel García Márquez, I loved it because it allowed me to know him more in depth, thanks to this copy I could, among other things, know how was the author's life and especially how were his days while he was writing each chapter of one of my favourite novels "One Hundred Years of Solitude" knowing the life of an author, allows us to understand even more his literary works, because all of them, and especially García Márquez always leaves a piece of his soul in all of them. This copy has many photographs, including the famous moment when he received the Nobel Prize for Literature, as well as the family tree of his family.
Uno de los libros que más disfruté leer fue esta biografía de Gabriel García Márquez, me encantó porque me permitió conocerlo más a fondo, gracias a este ejemplar pude, entre otras cosas, saber como fue la vida del autor y sobre todo como fueron sus días mientras escribía cada capítulo de una de mis novelas favoritas "Cien Años de Soledad" conocer la vida de un autor, nos permite incluso entender aún más sus obras literarias, porque todos ellos, y sobre todo García Márquez siempre deja un pedazo de su alma en todas ellas. Este ejemplar tiene muchas fotografías, entre ellas la del célebre momento en que recibió el premio Nobel de Literatura, también tiene el árbol genealógico de su familia.

This was one of the ones I enjoyed the most even though it preserves the same narrative and the same terms of the old Spanish language, this work tells us about a nobleman who lost his sanity reading chivalry books, but beyond this we can find in Don Quixote a man thirsty for justice, who fights for the rights of the underprivileged and just when he was taken away from all that made him happy, he recovered his sanity but was ready to die, it is a story full of many nuances, there are quite hilarious scenes, other touching ones but despite all the years that this work has been written since its author wrote it, it is still an icon of good literature and an example for many people.
Este fue uno de los que más disfruté a pesar de que conserva la misma narrativa y los mismos términos del idioma español antiguo, esta obra nos habla de un hidalgo que perdió la cordura leyendo libros de caballería, pero más allá de esto podemos encontrar en Don Quijote a un hombre sediento de justicia, que lucha por los derechos de los menos favorecidos y justo cuando lo alejaron de todo eso que lo hacía feliz, él recuperó la cordura pero estuvo listo para morir, es una historia llena de muchos matices, hay escenas bastante hilarantes, otras conmovedoras pero a pesar de todos los años que tiene esta obra desde su autor la escribió, sigue siendo un ícono de la buena literatura y un ejemplo para muchas personas.
These have been the books that have made me happy during 2022, for this year that is starting I plan to read some others, I am even looking forward to a couple of books that a relative sent me from abroad, one of them is nothing more and nothing less than "The Beddle Tales, the Bard" by J.K Rowling and that is part of the vast Harry Potter universe, so I am very happy about that 😆 😃. It has been a huge pleasure for me to have shared with you the books I read in 2022, I hope more and more people enter the contest so I can read your posts.
Estos han sido los libros que me han hecho feliz durante el 2022, para este año que comienza tengo pensado leer algunos otros, incluso estoy esperando con ansias un par de libros que me envió un familiar desde el extranjero, uno de ellos es nada más y nada menos que "Los Cuentos de Beddle, el Bardo" de J.K Rowling y que forma parte del vasto universo de Harry Potter, así que estoy muy feliz por eso 😆 😃. Ha sido un enorme placer para mi haber compartido con ustedes los libros que leí en el 2022, espero que más y más personas entren al concurso para poder leer sus post.
