Hello everyone, how are you? I hope you're well. I just finished a book entitled "Sesaudara dalam Iman, Sesaudara dalam Kemenuhan." This book was written by Edy Ah Ayubenu, the owner of Diva Press. I've been reading this author's books for a long time. I was deeply captivated by his explanations, both in Islamic thought and in humanitarian thought.
But I will focus more specifically on humanitarianism. The book opens with issues in Indonesia, ranging from the use of the hijab to the practice of exposing someone's shame on social media. This is a very common issue among young people in Indonesia, especially in their use of social media.

In this regard, the author believes there are accusations that give rise to differing understandings of Islam. As a result, claims of truth arise that assume only their understanding is correct and worthy of paradise. This is also what the author critiques.
The existence of diverse ideas should not end in hostility. Differences of opinion are perfectly acceptable, but we need to respect the views of others. In this regard, the author advises every human being to be compassionate toward others. This is a fundamental value of humanity. No matter how we live, the principle is to do good to others.
The author also provides a historical perspective from an Islamic perspective, explaining the reasons for our predecessors' actions. In other words, we need to learn from history and prevent the repetition of bad history. The author emphasizes the humanist side. On the other hand, this book is a reflective reflection on what is happening around us.
I was captivated by one of the points the author discusses, regarding advice. We need to convey advice politely so that others don't feel judged. Furthermore, the author advises against giving advice in public. When we advise people in public, we humiliate their dignity.
There are many profound messages conveyed by the author in this book. Humility is the key to everything. That's all I can share from this book. What do you think? See you in the next story.
