I think the last time I read a complete saga that I loved was Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo. However, I didn't feel what I felt when I finished reading The Hero of The Ages. I don't remember ending up with this feeling of brokenness as strongly as I did when I finished this trilogy. Which I must make clear that it is finished.

Creo que la última vez que leí una saga completa que haya amado, fue Seis de Cuervos, de Leigh Bardugo. Sin embargo, no sentí lo que sentí cuando me terminé de leerme El Hero de Las Eras. No recuerdo haber terminado con este sentimiento de ruptura tan fuerte como me pasó al finalizar esta trilogía. Que debo dejar claro que está finalizada.
I was eager to read Sanderson because I was curious as to why there were so many people talking about him. I had already read a couple of books by him, Elantris AND Braid of the Emerald Sea, and I had already liked them. When I read Elantris, about 4 years ago, I didn't know what to read next, because although it is a book that clearly needs a sequel, the author didn't continue the saga, this book being the first of them all. So I felt a bit lost among the pile of books to read and without having any guide, I left it at that. But to this day, finishing Mistborn, and knowing that there are a lot of books of the author ahead, having the reading order of all his works, I feel I made a big mistake reading Sanderson. The reason is simple, all the books I have pending to read by other authors, seem empty to me.
I want to start by praising this author. Although I already did a review of The Final Empire, when I finished the second one “The Well of Ascension”, I decided that I preferred to do the reviews at the end of each saga. In order to be able to comment properly about Brandon Sanderson, I must comment on the reasons why I think he is a genius when it comes to literature.
The Mistborn trilogy consists of three books: "The Final Empire ” is about a band of thieves who become revolutionaries on a mission to overthrow a 1000-year-old authoritarian government under the doctrine of the Lord Lawgiver. The second book, "The Well of Ascension ”, was my favorite book of the trilogy, although this is the least adventurous of the three, it completely gripped me. Here it deals with how to maintain a newly overthrown government. It's completely political and strategic. And the third book, “The Hero of the Ages”, is pure hard fantasy. It's the mythical struggle of good versus evil, with the ultimate reward of saving the world.

Estaba ansiosa de leer a Sanderson porque sentía la curiosidad de conocer porque había tanta gente hablando de él. Ya había leído un par de libros de él, Elantris Y Trenza del mar esmeralda, y ya me habían gustado. Cuando leí Elantris, hace unos 4 años, no supe que leer después, porque aunque es un libro que claramente necesita una continuación, el autor no continuo la saga, siendo este libro el primero de todos. Así que me sentía un poco perdida entre el montón de libros que había para leer y sin tener ninguna guía, lo dejé así. Pero al día de hoy, terminándome Mistborn, y sabiendo que hay un montón de libros del autor por delante, teniendo el orden de lectura de todas sus obras, siento cometí un grave error al leer Sanderson. La razón es simple, todos los libros que tengo pendientes por leer de otros autores, me parecen vacíos.Quiero comenzar alabando a este autor. Aunque ya hice una reseña de El Imperio Final, cuando terminé el segundo «El Pozo de la Ascensión», decidí que prefería hacer las reseñas al finalizar cada saga. Para poder comentarles adecuadamente acerca de Brandon Sanderson debo comentar las razones por las que me parece un genio a la hora de hacer literatura.
La trilogía de Nacidos de La Bruma consta de tres libros: “El imperio final” trata de una banda de ladrones que se vuelven unos revolucionarios que tienen como misión derrocar un gobierno autoritario de 1000 años bajo la doctrina del Lord legislador. El segundo libro, “El pozo de la ascensión”, fue mi libro favorito de la trilogía, aunque este es el menos aventurero de los tres, me dejó atrapada por completo. Aquí trata de como mantener un gobierno recién derrocado. Es completamente político y estratégico. Y el tercer libro, “El héroe de las Eras”, es fantasía dura y pura. Es la lucha mítica del bien contra el mal con la recompensa final de salvar al mundo.
The Mistborn and the allomantic have allomantic powers (for the sake of redundancy), which are granted by ingesting metals. The former have all the powers, which are ten in total. The latter only possess one of the ten. Based on this and on the detailed description of how each of these powers is used and manifested by burning metals, we can predict that it will be a complicated reading. But nothing could be further from this. When we are introduced to this world by Kelsier, we assume the role of Vin to learn how each of the metals works. And he shows them to us little by little, until by the last book we are very familiar with how allomancy works.
The most notable feature is that it has strong protagonists. The character development is logical and includes a background of personal experiences that make each of the characters become the heroes they are presented to us: Vin, Kelsier, Sazed, Spook, OreSour and the whole gang have each a particular description that makes them memorable. If you ever get to read this story, you will realize what I am telling you.
So that the reading doesn't become dense, we read different points of view of various characters throughout the trilogy, making the reading quite dynamic.

Los Nacidos de La Bruma y los alománticos tiene poderes alománticos (que valga la redundancia), estos son otorgados por ingerir metales. Los primeros tienen todos los poderes, que son diez en total. Los segundos solo poseen uno de los diez. Basado en esto y en la descripción a detalle de como se utilizan y se manifiesta cada uno de estos poderes al quemar metales, podemos predecir que será una lectura complicada. Pero nada más lejos de esto. Cunado nos introduce a este mundo de la mano de Kelsier, nosotros asumimos el papel de Vin de aprender como funciona cada uno de los metales. Y nos los va mostrando poco a poco, hasta que ya en el último libro estamos muy acostumbrados a como funciona la alomancia.La característica más notable es que tiene protagonistas fuertes. El desarrollo de personajes es lógico e incluye un background de vivencias personales que hacen que cada uno de los personajes logren ser los héroes que nos presentan: Vin, Kelsier, Sazed, Spook, OreSour y toda la banda tienen cada una descripción particular que los hace memorables. Si llegan a leer esta historia alguna vez, se darán cuenta de lo que les estoy diciendo.
Para que la lectura no se haga densa, vamos leyendo diferentes puntos de vista de varios personajes a lo largo de la trilogía, haciendo la lectura bastante dinámica. No se lee rápido, pero tampoco es aburrida. Puedo considerar que tiene un ritmo de lectura medio.
What makes me consider him a genius is that he doesn't improvise his books. They are all perfectly structured, he leaves no loose ends, nothing that is present in these books is just filler. Events that may have seemed random or trivial in “The Final Empire”, appear not only reflected in “The Hero of the Ages”, but also have an important and decisive relevance at the end of the saga. There I was, getting great surprises, shouting that I was a genius and, most significantly, crying a lot. When I finished reading the book a couple of nights ago, I was crying inconsolably, as if I had lost my friends. It was a bittersweet feeling to have finished this saga in such an epic, well accomplished way and knowing there would be no more parts destroyed my heart.
I know this author's road is long. And they say that this trilogy is the weakest. I found it so epic, I can't even imagine what the next saga will be like. Fortunately, I made myself a promise, and that is to finish all the sagas I started in previous years, otherwise I would already be reading “The Storm Archive”. It's already on my TBR.
I don't recommend reading Mistborn if you're not in the habit of reading. But if you have the habit, and you like fantasy, you're going to love it. Considering this is high fantasy, the romance there is more sweet than vanilla, it's a nice, epic, memorable romance, but the book is not romantasy, just to keep that in mind. Lo que me hace considerarlo un genio es que no es improvisa sus libros. Todos están perfectamente estructurados, no deja cabos sueltos, nada de lo que está presente en estos libros es por relleno. Sucesos que pudieron parecer aleatorios o triviales en “El Imperio Final”, aparecen no solo reflejados en “El Héroe de Las Eras”, sino que también tienen una relevancia importante y decisoria al finalizar la saga. Ahí estaba yo, llevándome grandes sorpresas, gritando que era un genio y lo más significativo, llorando mucho. Cuando terminé de leer el libro hace un par de noches atrás, lloraba desconsoladamente, como si hubiera perdido a mis amigos. Fue una sensación agridulce el haber terminado esta saga de manera tan épica, bien lograda y saber que no habría más partes me destruyó el corazón.Sé que el camino de este autor es largo. Y dicen que esta trilogía es la más floja. A mí me pareció tan épica, que no puedo ni imaginar como será la siguiente saga. Por fortuna me hice una promesa, y es la de terminar todas las sagas que empecé en años anteriores, porque si no ya estuviera leyendo "El archivo de las tormentas". Ya está en mi TBR.
No recomiendo que lean Mistborn si no tienes el hábito de leer. Pero si tiene el hábito, y te gusta la fantasía, vas a amarlo. Considerando que esto es alta fantasía, el romance que existe es más dulce que vainilla, es un romance bonito, épico, memorable, pero el libro no es de romantasy, solo para que lo tengan en cuenta.
