Hello wonderful people of the Hive book club community. Its really exciting for me to be writing this and sharing this with you guys. On the 25th of September we organized our first official voice chat on our discord channel hosted by myself and @macchiata. It has being quite a ride since then. Yesterday was the sixth session we had and it has being an exciting Journey for everyone involved, including myself. Like every other session, there is always a raffle of 10 hive for 2 lucky participants.
Yesterday, fifth of November 2021 we had our sixth book chat. It was an enthralling session. I mean, whenever people talk about books its always beautiful. There was a lot of excitement and casual chat. Today, I have come to share with you guys the recording of the session so you can catch-up and maybe get encouraged to join in for the next one.
Yesterday's topic was - What non-fiction book would you recommend and why?
I mentioned The SPCK introduction to Friedrich Nietzsche, a book that has stunned me right from the moment I stumbled on it in the library.
@notacinephile mentioned two incredible books. Why Nations fail by Daron Acemoglu and The Dictator's Handbook by Bruce Bueno de Mesquita. @notacinephile always comes up with the finest of books and does justice to them with his description. Amazing stuff.
A brilliant session all round. We actually did get a good turnout at first, but some people went off at the middle, possibly due to internet or something else. Hoping for a better turnout next time round. Thank you to all, those who came around, you're amazing. Please do drop any topic you would like us to talk about or any feedback at all.
