There is one special book in my library. Very expensive. Not at cost - money does not matter here. Expensive book with its history of appearance.
Once upon a time, fate introduced us to Yuri. It was fishing, in Sorokoshichi, on our favorite landing stage "Neptune". Our country was going through hard times then - the war in eastern Ukraine was in full swing. From the very beginning, Yura helped our defenders at the front as a volunteer, although he does not like to be called that.
And so, when we were once again going to go fishing, this ad appeared on the social network. I was very happy: we will see Yura again! We will also buy a book, it's just great.
Indeed, the meeting was incredibly interesting. Here are new acquaintances with wonderful people, and an array of useful and positive information from them. And a book signed by the author and brought home straight from his favorite "Neptune" - the best gift.
In a peaceful life, Yura loves to travel the world. He has visited more than 90 countries, and in his book "Roads to Happiness" reflected his impressions of travel. There are also practical tips for tourists tied to a particular country.
Yura also wrote about his volunteer work in the second half of the book. I am grateful to fate for meeting such a person, I dream of many, many more meetings with him. And when it's hard, I always remember how, no matter what, this man was the first to run to where it was hot and where help was needed.
Yuri's book is now on my desk again. Traveling the world through its pages, you are distracted from the constant tension of today's war.
