Hello friends
Today, I can hardly find myself. I was lost in the pages of a spectacular book. You know I really like children's literature, and this is a book for everyone.
It's a book that, in this case, applies to the Spanish language. Homophones can exist in any language. This means that, although they sound similar and are even spelled similarly in very rare cases, they have different meanings.
Pun in Words is the book I'm proposing to you, and it was a debt I owed you for some time now, as I've been telling you about it and its author in every book she's edited or proofread.
Make no mistake, its author is Mirtha Beatón, Mamá Sanlope. The excellent editor of the Las Tunas publishing house of the same name, Sanlope. She dedicated years to children, editing and proofreading them.
So much time dedicated to other people's books, until, when she retired from active work, she never stopped. It was then that she dedicated herself to her writing. And how well she did.
As a friend and mother, Mirtha was always wonderful. I had the honor and pride of having her as a friend, and she was also the editor of my children's book, which @maiasun84 reviewed a few weeks ago.
As a wordplay, she had an exquisite team; everyone did the best job they could. Excuse the redundancy, they couldn't do any less. A book for Mirtha Beatón must be perfect.
You can see that everyone who made this book possible is a writer. @argelfernadez edited the book, Neisy Ávila proofread it, another poetry artist, Leoarmis Ojeda, did the layout, and the great Junior Fernández designed the cover and illustrated it.
The drawings are in line art, so children can color them. And they are related, of course, to the tenth song next to it. I'm going to share photos of the verses and illustrations with you, but I also want to share some so that when I translate them, English speakers can read them.
Temporary
I met the gentle stream
when I visited the Sierra,
a slight wound that on earth
gave me pleasure and rest.
I walked through its calm,
but the storm came
and said Stream: What if
I sweep away everything in my path?!
The stream and its flow were like a strong arm!
The entire book is written in décimas. As you can see, in this décima, the word Arroyo is a proper noun, arrollo is from the verb "arrollar" (to roll), and arroyo is from the noun "rio" (river).
Yes, I know you're thinking it's a wonderful book, and of course, I'm going to share another of the verses that Mirtha gave us in this book.
Gratitude
The teacher's name is Ada
and she brings the medicine
that she will administer to me in a moment
with her delicate hand.
The teacher turns into a fairy,
I gently offer her my arm,
the prick doesn't hurt at all
and I sigh with relief.
She smiles, I look at her
and we hug.
In this stanza, Ada is a proper noun, and fairy refers to the beings produced by the imagination with wings that have dust and help us fly like Peter Pan.
This book is the product of the genius of that great Mirtha Beatón.
Now I'm losing myself again in these pages full of wisdom.

Hoy, casi ni yo misma me encuentro. Andaba perdida en las páginas de un libro espectacular. Ustedes saben que me gusta mucho la literatura para niños y, este, es un libro para todos.
Es un libro que en este caso se aplica al idioma español, en cualquier idioma pueden existir palabras homófonas. Esto quiere decir, que, aunque suenen parecido y hasta se escriban parecido en muy extraños casos, tienen diferentes significados.
Juego de palabras es el libro que les propongo y era una deuda que tenía con ustedes hacía ya algún tiempo, pues vengo hablándoles de él y de su autora en cada libro al que ella le hizo la edición o corrección.
No se equivocan, su autora es Mirtha Beatón, Mamá Sanlope. La excelente editora de la casa editorial de Las Tunas que lleva ese nombre, Sanlope. Quien dedicó años a los niños, en la edición y corrección de los mismos.
Tanto tiempo dedicado a los libros de otros, hasta que, cuando se jubiló del trabajo activo, nunca se detuvo. Fue entonces cuando se dedicó a su literatura. Y que bien lo hizo.
Como amiga, madre de familia, Mirtha siempre fue maravillosa. Tuve el honor y orgullo de contar con su amistad, además que fue la editora de mi libro para niños, que reseñara @maiasun84 hace algunas semanas.
Juego de palabras contó con un colectivo de trabajo exquisito, todos hicieron el mejor trabajo que podían hacer. Valga la redundancia, no podían hacer menos. Un libro para Mirtha Beatón debe quedar perfecto.
Podrán ver que todos los que hicieron posible la publicación de este libro, son escritores. @argelfernadez en la edición, Neisy Ávila en la corrección. En la maquetación otro artista del verso, Leoarmis Ojeda y el grande, Junior Fernández en el diseño de cubierta e ilustraciones.
Los dibujos están hechos a líneas, para que los niños los puedan colorear. Y están relacionado, por supuesto, con la décima que tengan al lado. Voy a estar compartiendoles fotos de las decimas e ilustraciones, pero tambien les quiero compartir algunas para que al traducirla, las personas que hablen en Ingles, puedan leerlas.
Temporal
Conocí el arroyo manso
cuando visité la Sierra,
leve herida que en la tierra
me dió placer y descanso.
Caminé por su remanso,
pero llegó el temporal
y dijo Arroyo: ¡¿Qué tal
si arrollo todo a mi paso?!
¡Eran como un fuerte brazo
el arroyo y su caudal!
Todo el libro está escrito en décimas. Como ven, en esta décima la palabra es Arroyo de sustantivo propio, arrollo del verbo arrollar y arroyo del sustantivo, río.
Sí, ya se que están pensando que es un libro maravilloso y claro les voy a compartir otra de las décimas que Mirtha nos regaló en este libro.
Gratitud
La seño se llama Ada
y trae el medicamento
que me pondrá en un momento
con su mano delicada.
La seño se torna un hada,
gentil le ofrezco mi brazo,
no duele nada el pinchazo
y yo aliviada suspiro.
Ella sonríe, la miro
y nos damos un abrazo.
En esta estrofa Ada es sustantivo propio y hada son los seres productos de la imaginación con alas que tienen polvo y nos sirve para volar con Peter Pan.
Este libro, es producto del ingenio de esa grande que fue Mirtha Beatón.
Yo ahora vuelvo a perderme en estas páginas llenas de sabiduría.
